A Quick note from the Cook to the Captain

Cap'n Rae, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you that just before we lifted off from Burnet, Ole' Jadi cornered me and made it clear she was expecting to have a clear accounting of how the money Mr Tenens was paying us was spent, and made me responsible. In effect, I think she has appointed me the Ship's Purser. She seems to think that her cut is 50% after expenses, and expects monthly updates. I was then escorted to Mr Tenens and, with Ms Jadi present, we worked out monthly payments to the ship of 833 credits for the next year.

By looking at our past logs, it seems we go through about 600 creds/month on fuel, 24 creds/month each for food for the crew and around 200 creds for Ammo, Med supplies and sundries.
For our crew of six plus our tenant, that works out to 944 creds, so we're in the lucky position of only needing to earn 135 creds each month to keep flying. Fortunately, with renting the shuttle for 300 creds/month, we have a whole 165 credits to split first with Jadi at 50%, leaving 82.5 to divide among us six crew-members.

I think it is time we re-examined crew salaries and/or percentages.

So the good news is that we can keep flying. The bad news is that we still gotta keep the work coming in, and with Jadi expectin' 50%, it's gotta pay, but at least we ain't gotta use 'Brina's pa's shine in the engines no more.
