Shay Jiutai bangs pots and pans in the galley, humming to herself in a satisfied way, she goes over to the comm and pushes the button, "Coffee is ready in the Galley for them's whats up!"

Billie: mmm coffee

Gabriel Keats swears indistinctly from one of the bunks

Gabriel Keats: "How in the ruttin' hell are these people up so gorram early?"

Shay Jiutai giggles enough to make her shoulder hurt

Shay Jiutai: Hell, Billie ain't it?

Shay Jiutai: hello that is...

Gabriel Keats heads into the kitchen, eyes red rimmed, holding his head. "I could do with some of that. . ."

Shay Jiutai eyes the pirate suspiciously...."mornin' Gabe... sure... here ya go"

Billie looks harmless

Gabriel Keats takes the cup, walking a little unsteadily as he takes it and starts gulping it down

Shay Jiutai: Sleep well?

Shay Jiutai notices some red in Gabriel’s eyes

Gabriel Keats glares at Shay. "Ain't like I remember. I suppose so. Mind tellin' me why we're servin' breakfast to them what shot you?"

Shay Jiutai pbangs a pot particularly loud "Ain't like we gots a choice, We're all here in the balck... folks gots ta eat!"

Gabriel Keats grouses quietly

Gabriel Keats seems to be doing his best Xiao Li impression

Shay Jiutai mixes some egg like protien on the stove top...

Gabriel Keats half-hopeful. "Don't s'pose you've got anythig stronger back there."

Shay Jiutai turns with an impish grin "what were you thinkin'?"

Gabriel Keats tries to answer, turning a little green at the smell of cooking protein. "Whiskey." His voice is a little ragged.

Shay Jiutai: "anyway where you last night?"

Billie sits still and keeps to herself

Gabriel Keats sets his jaw. "Sleepin'"

Gabriel Keats: "And you?"

Shay Jiutai sighs and produces a bottle for the striken Gabrial... "bettern' just go slow with that stuff..."

Shay Jiutai: Gettin shot at!... and erm sleepin too!

Gabriel Keats: "I did notice the shot part."

Shay Jiutai: "kinda hard not to..."

Gabriel Keats's face goes a little less cranky, a little more concerned. "How you doin'"

Shay Jiutai adds some herbs to the egg-lioke mixture in the fryin' pan " I'm on top o' the world today!!!"

Gabriel Keats unscrews the top of the bottle of whiskey, takes a swig

Jiutai: " I told ya to take it easy with that stuff!!"

Shay Jiutai: "morini' Capt'n coffee?"

Rae Overholt enters the galley, called by the smell of food. "morning shen, how are you? Hurt much? " *looks at her with concern before glancing at gabe*

Gabriel Keats: "I can handle myself, Shay."

Rae Overholt: Gabe.

Shay Jiutai: "SHHH>>> here comes the Cap'n"

Rae Overholt blinks in surprise at shen.."What?"

Gabriel Keats looks at her, face unreadable. "Yeah?"

Rae Overholt: Little early for whiskey dont you think?

Gabriel Keats: "No."

Rae Overholt sidles up to him and snatches the bottle and tosses it back to shen, not caring if any is spilled. "I think it is."

Rae Overholt hands him her coffee

Shay Jiutai: "carefull cap'n I got open flame here!"

Rae Overholt: sorry shen.

Gabriel Keats gives her a deadly look.

Rae Overholt smiles sweetly at him.

Gabriel Keats looks at her for a moment, then starts laughing.

Gabriel Keats: "Hell, fine, Cap'n. You're the boss."

Rae Overholt: Just remember that.

Shay Jiutai whistles to herself as she stirs the egglike protein...

Rae Overholt: What's that you're cooking shen?

Gabriel Keats closes his eyes and sighs. "I will"

Shay Jiutai does not notice the two at the table, really she doesn't

Shay Jiutai: really

Shay Jiutai: "just some "eggs"

Rae Overholt: I'm awful hungry, and thirsty. Coffee's excellent. Eggs smell good too.

Gabriel Keats winces at the mention of the smell.

Shay Jiutai: I think I got some pork here too... want a link or two Cap'n?

Shay Jiutai: 'me pulls out another fryin' pan and heats it up...

Shay Jiutai goes to the comm "anyone else for breakfast?"

Rae Overholt: That would be shiny.

Shay Jiutai finds the sausages in the freezer and pops them into the nuker to de-frost them...

Gabriel Keats gives Shay an apologetic look. "Don't suppose I can ask for a piece, cranky as I was this morning?"

Rae Overholt chews on her bottom lip as she smells the sausages cooking

Rae Overholt: Morning Sabrina.

Rae Overholt: You alright today?

Shay Jiutai looks at Gabe..... of course

Sabrina McGee: 'cos I'm not "dressed" appropriately.. ;)

Shay Jiutai: "HI S"

Gabriel Keats grins brightly. "Thanks!"

Gabriel Keats is suddenly in a much better mood

Shay Jiutai pulls the floppy sausages out of the nuker and places them in the lightly oiled, hot pan where they sputter and spurt

Gabriel Keats: "I ain't even going to ask how you got those; I'm just going to be grateful." He bounces over to the table and hops up to sit on it

Shay Jiutai stris the eggs and grates some REAL cheese on top

Rae Overholt: ohhh..cheeese

Gabriel Keats doesn't seem to be bothered by the smell anymore; is grinning

Shay Jiutai grins at Sabrina... "Coffee dear?"

Sabrina McGee wrinkles her nose.. "Yuck!"

Gabriel Keats laughs. "Well, you're certainly in a good mood."

Gabriel Keats gives a quick, fleeting, leering grin

Shay Jiutai pulls a few plates down from the cupboard with her good arm....

Rae Overholt watches Gabe from the corner of her eye, concerned.

Gabriel Keats raises his eyebrows and grins more widely.

Shay Jiutai starts to serve up the eggs and pork links to Rae and Gabriel...

Rae Overholt pales slightly and decides to find a place to sit.

Shay Jiutai: "here ya go..."

Gabriel Keats takes it and quietly says, "Thank you."

Gabriel Keats looks at Sabrina. Blinks. Looks away.

Shay Jiutai serves up a plate of "eggs" and sausages for herself and Sabrina...

Shay Jiutai: "here ya go ... did you want coffee?

Sabrina McGee wrinkles her nose again.. "I hate the taste of it.. How's your arm though?"

Sabrina McGee puts an arm around Shen

Gabriel Keats chuckles, grins conspiratorially at Rae. "They're cute, aren't they?"

Rae Overholt looks at the two, "yeah, they are." Looks back to him, puzzled.

Sabrina McGee sticks her tongue out at Gabe.. "You're one to talk... so mrow!"

Gabriel Keats glares at her, demeanor suddenly changed, but says nothing.

Sabrina McGee looks at Shen.. "Need help in the galley today?"

Shay Jiutai: "just sit and eat hon... I'm good"

Sabrina McGee notices Gabe's glare.. "What? It's not like I haven't noticed how you look at the Captain.. "

Sabrina McGee takes her plate to the table and sits down to eat..

Gabriel Keats clenches his fists tightly on his plate

Sabrina McGee: No offense, Cap'n..

Shay Jiutai gets an idea " well if you helped with the dishes..." smiles impishly...

Rae Overholt turns slightly red, "none taken" as her eyes go between the two.

Rae Overholt: Shen, you take help, be careful on that arm till its healed.

Sabrina McGee: All right.. when we finish eating, Shen?

Gabriel Keats mutters. "Goddamnit..."

Shay Jiutai takes her plate and sits at the table

Rae Overholt kicks gabe under the table.

Gabriel Keats looks at the Captain. "What the hell was that for?"

Rae Overholt mumbles and looks at her plate, "poor manners."

Gabriel Keats: "Fine." ::slides off the table::

Sabrina McGee: So, Captain, any word from Johnny about how that last job turned out?

Sabrina McGee: ::munch munch::

Rae Overholt grinds her teeth in frustration, feeling helpless and hoping the others dont notice. "No word yet. Hopefully soon."

Sabrina McGee: Oh, Shen.. did you still wanna teach me how to shoot?

Shay Jiutai: "how ya feelin this mornin' Cap'n, did ya get shot up?

Gabriel Keats smirks at Sabrina. "That's what they call it?"

Rae Overholt: I'm making it shen.

Shay Jiutai: Yeah babe... we can go down to the range... I can't believe ya pulled a gun on that Johnny guy without ever having shot one before!""

Rae Overholt: that johnny blaze still out? Where's billie? Mont still locked in the crait?

Sabrina McGee: No, they call that one the horizontal mambo.. teaching me how to shoot is legit.. seeing as I'm apparently the only one on this ship with no luck with guns.. and now we got pirate captains boarding us with only me, the Doc and Xiao Li on board.. I'm guessin' someone needs to learn to defend the crew that stays on baord..

Gabriel Keats looks far off, as though he's focused on something else. "I could show you a gun."

Sabrina McGee: well, it's not like I don't understand the concepts of "point at object, pull trigger.."

Shay Jiutai: No offence, but we got a date...

Sabrina McGee: but I understand that it does require some practice to actually -hit- what you point at..

Gabriel Keats looks away. "They have them on the core..."

Rae Overholt looks sharply at gabe, then back at the others.

Rae Overholt thinks to herself, "quiet, quiet, quiet"

Gabriel Keats looks down at the ground, doesn't say anything.

Sabrina McGee: suppose I'll have to actually get firearms before I can practice, huh?

Rae Overholt: Might help.

Gabriel Keats closes his eyes tightly

Gabriel Keats's face goes slack for a moment, then he looks up, eyes more focused. "I. . .um, have an extra revolver. I don't use it much. . .it's antique."

Gabriel Keats: "You can have it if you want."

Sabrina McGee: Umm.. okay, I guess..

Sabrina McGee: I just want something I can wear on my hip, I guess..

Gabriel Keats looks up at the ceiling. "Too many people in here. . ."

Rae Overholt: Maybe you should finish breakfast in your bunk Gabe. Rest a bit.

Gabriel Keats: "No. . .I'm fine. Really."

Shay Jiutai: Ok then, let's go down and blast a few holes in some targets, after breakfast...

Gabriel Keats: "I'll head over to Rol's after breakfast. . .should be all right there."

Gabriel Keats stretches, yawns.

Rae Overholt: What you going to do at Rol's?

Shay Jiutai: I think I have an spare revolver ya can carry... but I'lll let ya see what it's like to shoot a good gun too...

Gabriel Keats: "Usual."

Rae Overholt 's lips form a thin line. Getting up she places her dishes in the sink and then stiffly turns and makes her way to have a look at the infamous Johnny Blaze.

Sabrina McGee hrmms..

Sabrina McGee shivers..

Gabriel Keats collapses, face into his hands as soon as Rae leaves.

Sabrina McGee: Ummm.. Gabe?

Sabrina McGee: You sure you're ok?

Shay Jiutai: "so what did Miss Johnny say this guy downstairs did that deserved us shootin' up his crew like that?

Sabrina McGee: hijacker her ship and cargo, I think..

Shay Jiutai: "leave him alone... s'OK"

Gabriel Keats glares again at Shay. "It ain't okay."

Shay Jiutai: "c'mon, if ya can get his plate"

Gabriel Keats grabs it violently, clattering it against the table. "I can do it myself!"

Shay Jiutai pickes up her plate and heads to the sink"

Rae Overholt eyes billie in the medbay area, "Dont be getting any ideas about the captain."

Billie: nah, you aint gotta worry none 'bout me

Shay Jiutai stares at Gabrial, dumbfounded...

Johnny's where he was left- Though a little less stuffed into a cabinet. That floor can't be too comfortable, though... Heavy dosing's kept him from going much of anywhere. And, you know, re-opening those bullet holes.

Sabrina McGee sighs.. "Okay, whatever.. fine.. " ::heads over to the sink to help with dishes..

Gabriel Keats: "You two think you're perfect, but you ain't. You're both ruttin' humped." Turns around to stalk out of the room

Rae Overholt wanders over to the cabinet Johnny is locked in. "Ok in there pirate?"

Sabrina McGee: Okay, Go PMS Somewhere else then.

Shay Jiutai sighs and picks up Gabriel’s plate after all and takes it to the sink...

Gabriel Keats turns back around. "Don't *talk* to me like that!"

Rae Overholt eyes the parrot blearily. "Why the ruttin hell is it only bad stuff."

Johnny Goodliffe: Johnny groans a bit from inside his 'cell', but... Might need to hit him with the counteragent before he can talk?

Rae Overholt kicks the cabinet. "Dont make me lock the parrot in there with you."

Sabrina McGee: Look, Gabe, I don't know what your deal is today, but I'm getting sick of it.. Chill out. If you're gonna be an asshole, go do it somewhere else. And before you ever try to order me around again, remember who controls the air scrubbers and ventilation to your bunk.

Shay Jiutai sighs

Billie: billie looks calm, and says, Petey only gets riled up when there is acation

Rae Overholt: That so.

It’s not that Johnny -won't- talk, but more of, -can't-...

Rae Overholt: Petey psychic then?

Gabriel Keats lunges at Sabrina, grabs her. "Don't *threaten* me!"

Rae Overholt eyes billie, "You hear something?"

Billie: Nah, the sound of guns gets him going

Rae Overholt makes a note to get the doc to look at the pirate in a few.

Billie: no ma'am

Rae Overholt: I don’t hear any guns.

Billie: no guns now

Rae Overholt: Fancy dancy thing isn’t he.

Rae Overholt 's ears perk up for a moment.

Shay Jiutai stares at Gabriel "let her go" she says in a quiet voice

Billie: Ol Petey was a preachers pet, He had some strange notions

Rae Overholt: I reckon he did.

Rae Overholt opens the cabinet and smacks johnny on the face.

Rae Overholt: Wake up.

Shay Jiutai: "I SAID LET HER GO!!!"

Gabriel Keats: "I'm not going to listen to you. You're a killer."

Billie: Leastways he aint quote'n the scripture

Rae Overholt 's ears twitch again.

Billie: huh? what was that

Gabriel Keats lets her go suddenly, backing away, glaring at Shay.

Rae Overholt slams the cabinet and makes her way back up to hte gally

Johnny mumbles something- Well, he -felt- that, but aren't sedatives wonderful things?

Billie: I hear some thummp'n about

Gabriel Keats suddenly takes a swing at Shay.

Rae Overholt: What's going on in here?

Rae Overholt launches at Gabe

Billie: I raised 3 boys, and I know when sompt'n goen on

Shay Jiutai easily dodges the attempted blow and jumps to the open facing her new "opponent"

Sabrina McGee takes her wrench from her belt and swings it at Gabe.

Rae Overholt: ENOUGH! STAND DOWN!

Gabriel Keats ducks out of the way of the wrench, scrabbling against the floor

Rae Overholt glares at them all.

Shay Jiutai: "come on coward... show me what ya got!"

Rae Overholt: SHEN

Gabriel Keats looks at her, voice hollow. "I'm sorry. . ."

Rae Overholt sets the coffee cup down steadily and turns. "I said..enough."

Rae Overholt looks back at Gabe. "Get in your bunk."

Sabrina McGee: I oughta lock you in the shuttle with Xiao Li for that..

Rae Overholt: That might be an option.

Sabrina McGee crosses her arms and scowls..

Rae Overholt: Sabrina you ok?

Gabriel Keats hurries out, looking at the floor. "I'm sorry. . ."

Sabrina McGee: Just a little wrinkled and nervous..

Shay Jiutai: "come here hon"

Rae Overholt: Something's..he isn’t himself..I'm going to keep an eye on him. We'll deal with it.

Sabrina McGee shivers again.. "So cold in here today.."

Rae Overholt: you two go do something useful, or relax, I dont care.

Rae Overholt: Seems it's gonna be one of those days.

Gabriel Keats shouts from his bunk. "I heard that!"

Rae Overholt marches past and to gabe's bunk. "Get up. changed my mind. Wanna speak to this Johnny blaze character."

Rae Overholt: Shen, enough.

Shay Jiutai: C'mon, S... let's clear out..."

Rae Overholt: Med bay. Now.

Gabriel Keats shoots an apologetic look at Sabrina and follows

Rae Overholt gives billie a look, "Might be some leftovers upstairs if you are hungry."

Shay Jiutai sighes with relief as they leave

Billie: That coffee sure looks good ma'am

Billie: thankee

Johnny Goodliffe: Johnny's still just laying there, a nice unconscious little prisoner...

Gabriel Keats looks at Johnny and twitches.

Shay Jiutai squeezes Sabrina's hand, "does that hurt much babe?"

Rae Overholt nods at her. When she leaves she turns to Gabe. "You needa avoid people if that happens when youa re around them. Go visit Johnny. Tell me if you well..tell me what you get."

Billie: 'scuse me, cap't said i could have some leftovers

Billie: Petey preens his Feathers

Shay Jiutai looks over at Billie" well I recon... ya gots a right to eat too... hang on a sec..."

Gabriel Keats puts a hand on Johnny's forehead.

Rae Overholt stands at the doorway and watches.

Shay Jiutai rummages around the galley and produces some dry cereal and soy milk for Billie...

Sabrina McGee rubs her hand tenderly.. "I'm okay, Hun.. more startled than anything else..

Billie: Thankee kindly

Shay Jiutai: ?me looks concerned, " Somethin' not right with that one today" she says as she starts washing dishes.

Billie: billie begins to eat the rather tasteless, but nutritious meal

Gabriel Keats speaks in a far off voice. "There's a figure. . ."

Gabriel Keats turns around, looks at Rae, giving her a not-so-nice up and down look, smirking

Sabrina McGee sighs.. "I'm gonna head to the engine room.."

Billie finishes quickly, and goes to help Shen with the dishes

Shay Jiutai places the dishes in the rack "I suppose I could make some toast for ya... if ya like toast, that is"

Billie: Toast would be nice, but if ya got a few soy nuts for Petey here?

Sabrina McGee: ::sounds of metallic clanging and banging come from the engine room::

Gabriel Keats gets the far off look again. "It's a partner. He wants her. . .wants her as bad as--" He stops, looking at Rae. "He got a partner?"

Shay Jiutai pulls down some bread " I guess we might have something here that could put meat on his bones" Shen eyes the bird with a hungry look...

Billie: ol Petey was a Preachers pet

Shay Jiutai places the heal of the loaf in the toaster and puts the rest of the loaf away

Billie: Petey croons

Billie: with delight

Sabrina McGee bangs on the walls and the pipes in the engine room with her wrench..

Rae Overholt looks at gabe, noticing his gaze. "guess he might. I'm thinking I might have an idea of what's goign on here. Can you give me more?"

Shay Jiutai clatters around more to find a few filbert nuts and hands them to Billie "think that bird will eat these?"

Billie: Petey hops over to Shen, brushing his head against her arm and eats out of her hand

Gabriel Keats's face crumples. "She's dead. . ."

Rae Overholt: Dead...

Rae Overholt: I'm guessing...no.

Gabriel Keats whirls on her, eyes blazing. "You killed her in the raid!"

Rae Overholt takes a step back. "You prefer me dead."

Shay Jiutai watches as the bird eats the nuts "who told you he belonged to a preacher, the guy what sold 'um to ya? did he also tell ya he only took him out on Sundays?"

Billie: heh, after the raid on our town, he and I were the only things left alive

Sabrina McGee: ::There's a much louder clang and then you hear:: "OW!"

Rae Overholt tries to ignore the clanging over her head, beginning to get a slight headache.

Shay Jiutai looks surprised "you were raided?"

Gabriel Keats's voice is terse, barely controlled. "No..." He starts breathing fast; his pupils dialate and his jaw sets.

Rae Overholt: Spose he would though.

Rae Overholt nods at the pirate. "I can live with that."

Shay Jiutai raises her voice "Ya OK in there?"

Gabriel Keats's hand slowly slides up to his gun

Sabrina McGee: The Raven BIT me!!

Shay Jiutai: "then bite back!"

Rae Overholt eyes the motion. "Dont do it Gabe."

Billie: yep, I was out in the fields getten some stuff, and when I came back, it was all gone

Sabrina McGee: That's only for you!!

Billie: That was some 2yes ago

Shay Jiutai: "All gone? heehee... ignore her"

Gabriel Keats breaks away and scrambles up onto the examining table, drawing his gun, eyes wide with fear

Billie: lots of mess and blood, the whole place jest tore up

Shay Jiutai: Who attacked ya?

Rae Overholt slowly walks up to him and reaches out for the gun, talking soothingly, "Gabe, its ok. Give me the gun."

Billie: dunno, I wasnt there ta see it

Shay Jiutai voice goes quiet "Reavers?"

Billie: we was just a small place, some houses and some crop

Gabriel Keats: "Get away from me!" His face twists in pain.

Sabrina McGee: I was talking to the Raven.. taking my frustration out a bit.. and I smacked my hand with the wrench..

Billie: Well I don’t rightly know

Billie: It coulda been anyone

Rae Overholt moves quicker and wraps her hand around the gun, "no gabe, calm down. It'll be ok. THink of something calm, waterfalls, meditate."

Shay Jiutai looks around "what's all that yelling below?"

Gabriel Keats looks at her, hatred filling his face

Billie: awful lot of thummpin go'n on

Sabrina McGee: Probably more fun from Mr. Mental Instability.. that, or your Cap'n woke up..

Rae Overholt refuses to let go of the gun and attempts to remain calm, thinking of something pleasant.

Shay Jiutai is thankful she is having a pleasant conversation with a pirate she tried to kill a few days ago in the Galley...

Gabriel Keats's finger tightens on the trigger. . .then his arm goes slack, and he lets go of the gun

Rae Overholt takes the gun, and looks at him, "You there Gabe?"

Gabriel Keats swallows, nods.

Sabrina McGee: So, was that just a job to you then?

Shay Jiutai: "Soooo, hmmmm... how did you become a pirate" Shen asks in a calm voice.

Billie: well now, thats a tale...

Gabriel Keats: "I think he was dreaming."

Rae Overholt: Make any sense to you.

Sabrina McGee: You just don't seem such a bad sort.. guess it seems odd you were shipping with them..

Billie: when the town an everybody was gone, I jest started to wander

Shay Jiutai: "i'm sure it is..."/me looks at Sabrina"Let me kiss that"

Billie: took some time afore I got to a nother town

Gabriel Keats: ::something slides across his eyes again as he looks at her. . .then it's gone." He's drugged, and he's in pain. He's dreaming about the attack.

Gabriel Keats sounds more lucid than he has all morning

Rae Overholt: Maybe we should drug you. Would it help?

Rae Overholt: We got anything to wake him up? I"m no medic.

Gabriel Keats: "I was trying to do that. You wouldn't let me."

Billie: I didn’t have much skills, but I could shoot, and so I worked some on ships and such

Rae Overholt: Doc's apparently sleeping like the dead.

Gabriel Keats gives her a reproachful look.

Rae Overholt gives it right back to him.

Billie: and then Jonny comes along and offers me a job

Gabriel Keats: "Adrenaline always works. I ain't a doctor, Rae."

Billie: says we don’t have to get rough, so I says alright

Gabriel Keats has the grace to look embarassed. "Sorry for pulling a gun on you." A pause. "Can I have that back?"

Billie: we didn’t have to get too rough, Cap't Jonny was smart, and kept it clean mostley

Billie: I never had much chance to go to space

Rae Overholt: You can have it back when I know you wont pull it again. We'll get you straight soon enough. Dont worry.

Shay Jiutai grins at Sabrina, eyes the bird that is trying to climb into her cupboards, and asks"what did you do for 'Capt'n Johnny'?"

Rae Overholt: Guess we should wake him up. You know where anything might be in this med bay?

Shay Jiutai takes Sabrina's hand...

Sabrina McGee smirks

Gabriel Keats closes his eyes, trying to remember where Rio put everything that night. "I thought I saw some syringes over there that looked like they could have adrenaline”

Gabriel Keats opens the drawer, takes out a large syringe, reads the label. "Yeah. This is it."

Rae Overholt: You know how to do it?

Shay Jiutai: What did ya do on.... what planet did ya say you were from?

Rae Overholt: Seems a bit much to waste meds on him when he'll wake up on his own though.

Gabriel Keats: "Yeah." A grin. "You want me to kick him for you, Cap'n?"

Rae Overholt: No Gabe, if he is out, he cant cause trouble, wont suffer too much either.

Gabriel Keats: "He's in a lot of pain."

Rae Overholt: Don’t know why. doc gave him sedative.

Gabriel Keats: "You hwun dans really hurt him"

Rae Overholt grumbles, "Give him some morphine then. Doc already patched him up."

Gabriel Keats looks angry again for a moment.

Rae Overholt ignores the look, hoping it will pass.

Billie: i come from Triumph, little place called wheaton

Gabriel Keats starts going through the cabinets. ". . .I didn't want to do this, Cap. You made me."

Rae Overholt: What?

Billie: weren’t more than 30 of us

Gabriel Keats pulls out an IV. "You made me touch him."

Rae Overholt: I'm sorry Gabe.

Rae Overholt: He wont need an iv

Shay Jiutai: "do you mean Wheadon? I served there for a brief spell"

Rae Overholt: let's look for that air hypo he gave me the other night..it should do.

Gabriel Keats starts going through everything.

Billie: nope Wheaton, Wheadon was to the south

Gabriel Keats: "You want it to go away. You want me to control it. You want me to use it. You can't have it both ways."

Shay Jiutai: "that's probably why ya don't look familiar"

Billie: wheaton is way up north

Rae Overholt sighs and looks depressed. "I'm sorry. I have to admit. It'd be useful. But not if you are miserable."

Gabriel Keats holds something up that kind of looks like a hammer. "This it?"

Rae Overholt: I think so.

Rae Overholt: Does the label on the vile next to it say Menesthofeen?

Gabriel Keats picks up a couple of the vials. After examining one of them, he nods. "Yeah, this one." He attaches it to the hammer like thing.

Gabriel Keats gives Rae a look. "You ever use one of these?"

Rae Overholt: Nope

Gabriel Keats sighs. "Hell."

Gabriel Keats: "Well, might as well be me they kill if I screw up. Seeing as I'm good as dead anyway."

Gabriel Keats preps the hypo and heads over

Gabriel Keats murmurs a quick Our Father and presses the button to administer it

Johnny jerks at just the wrong moment- Air hypos, and movement, equals blood, who'd have guessed! For a very brief moment, his eyes are wide open, staring at Gabe...

Gabriel Keats jerks away, screaming

Sabrina McGee: So, who's up for a game of tall card?

Billie: that sure sound nice

Shay Jiutai: why not

Rae Overholt eyes the pirate. "Dont go getting any ideas. You don’t need anymore holes."

Gabriel Keats huddles against the side of the table

Rae Overholt shakes her head as he is out again. Gotta fix that patch now. Looks at Gabe. "It's ok" Reaches out and touches his hand calmly.

Billie: I raised 3 boys, and buried my man at that town

Gabriel Keats calms down. "I hate being like this. I hate being this weak"

Shay Jiutai: did you bury the boys too, or did they leave?

Rae Overholt: Stronger than I am Gabe. Duno what I'd have done if it were me.

Billie: my oldest got killed durin the war

Gabriel Keats: "I'm going to fix it."

Billie: others were gone after the town got hit

Billie: never did find them

Gabriel Keats: "I swear to god, if I have to put a bullet in my own brain, I'll fix it."

Rae Overholt stands up and looks for something to patch Johnny back up with. Finding gause and tape she applies pressure and then tapes him up.* "No you wont."

Billie: its all right

Gabriel Keats just gives her a dark, lost, lucid look.

Gabriel Keats then smiles. "I will. Remember, I'm perfection itself."

Rae Overholt blinks at him. "We'll fix it, no bullets in the brain pan"

Gabriel Keats: "Especially since you took my gun."

Rae Overholt: Yep. Cant lose my dance partner.

Gabriel Keats looks away. "Can't lose crew."

Rae Overholt: I'm gonna keep a close enough eye on you that doesn’t happen.

Gabriel Keats smiles sheepishly. "That mean I get to share your bunk again?"

Rae Overholt: well, might be fun to irritate Xiao li.

Gabriel Keats glares at the unconscious pilot. "Wish we could wake him up"

Rae Overholt: Doc'll handle him

Gabriel Keats: "Yeah, if he ever gets his ruttin' pigu in gear."

Rae Overholt: yeah

Rae Overholt looks at Gabe again. "You sure you're ok for now?"

Gabriel Keats: "For now. Didn't mean to frighten you."

Rae Overholt: You will have to make it up to shen and Sabrina.

Gabriel Keats: "I think I'd better stay out of the kitchen for a while, though

Rae Overholt: Might should. Maybe should get them some chocolate.

Gabriel Keats: "I heard that usually works"







 

Just Making Sure Everyone Knows

Waking Up

Gabriel Keats manages to stay mostly asleep. . .different images flit through his head, mostly unfamiliar and frightening. . .fortunately, there's a sense of underlying calm underneath it.

Gabriel Keats's eyes open with a start. He looks at the bed, hearing far off voices. They don't make sense. They never make sense. The room is bright and unreal seeming. He moves his head and sees the Captain on his arm.

Rae Overholt sleeps peacefully, lashes fluttering from time to time as she dreams.

Gabriel Keats smiles contentedly. The voices are a mere distraction, nothing more; this must be a good dream. He puts an arm around Rae, slides his leg up and over hers

Rae Overholt sighs and curls closer into him, blissfully unaware, dreaming of floating in water, surrounded by waves.

Gabriel Keats moves up his other hand to gently stroke the hair from her face. He looks at her. The rest of the room feels too bright and too loud, but this feels real. It's a good dream.

Rae Overholt feels the feathery touch of wind on her face as she floats in her dream and her lashes flutter again.

Gabriel Keats feels a twinge of fear. The voices are louder now. The dream is going to end. He leans towards Rae and kisses her, softly and tenatively. It's a dream. What's the worst that could happen?

Rae Overholt watches as an indistinct shape takes form in the water, reaching out to entangle her and pull her close. She is not startled by this, as is the way of dreams, she accepts it for what it is. Vaguely she wonders how they can still float, but her concern is pushed away as the shape takes on a masculine form and brushes his lips across hers.

Gabriel Keats enjoys the kiss, then pulls his cool, dry lips away. She hasn't woken up. Normally, in his other dreams, she'd be awake. But she isn't. The voices are more insistent, though he can't understand the words. He doesn't have much time.

Gabriel Keats raises his leg around Rae, straddling her, and runs a hand down her side. He moves to gently turn her over onto her back, quickly, before the voices become too much, before they wake him up

Rae Overholt 's dream becomes more distinct, suddenly they are out of the water, on a beach, waves still tickle her toes as the man presses her into the sand, her back stinging. She stirs, restless in her sleep.

Gabriel Keats would like to take his time, would like to go slowly, but something about the urgency of the voices makes him go faster. He reaches a hand up Rae's shirt, pressing against her, and kisses her again, this time more quickly, almost violently.

Rae Overholt lets out a soft sound of discomfort, feeling the man touch her, wondering who he is and why he is becoming more insistent with her, her lips part for him as she slowly begins to struggle out of the dream.

Gabriel Keats relaxes a little as Rae's lips part. He takes a moment on the kiss--though it's still a bit rough. He runs his hands over her chest once last time before sliding them up her arms and pressing against her in a slight rhythm

Rae Overholt 's eyes part groggily, feeling painful pressure on her back and her throbbing arm first. She then feels the weight on top of her, and Gabe's motions against her. "Gabe." Her voice laced with sleep with an edge of pain.

Gabriel Keats whispers. "Shhh." He smiles--it's a wicked smile, full of promises and mischief. He moves his hand from her injured arm and moves it down to her waist, starts trying to remove her pants. The voices are pushing against his ears but he ignores them. The room is blindingly bright except for the bed where the two of them are.

Rae Overholt struggles to grab his wrist with her left hand, wincing as her arm stings. Noting his smile, her stomach does an odd flip, another time she might be up for this. Tonight she's in too much gorram agony. She wonders if he's even aware of what he's doing as she watches him. "Gabe, wait, Gabe."

Gabriel Keats looks at her, presses down with his one hand. "Shhh. . .It's okay. . ." The voices fill his head, drowning out his own words, and all that's left that's real is the dream, is Rae in front of him. He slides against her. "I love you, Rae." He starts reaching under her pants.

Rae Overholt closes her eyes and bites her bottom lip, her hand on his wrist as he slides it into her pants. "Gabe, wake up. Please, I like you Gabe, I do. You're hurting me though, please stop."

Gabriel Keats grins again. Everything is rising to a fever pitch. He's hardly even thinking, though his eyes are wide open and look oddly focused. There's no time! He forces his hand down lower, trying to pull her arm with him. Everything was so gorram bright! He presses her hard into the bed, leans down, tries to kiss her in a frenzied, violent motion.

Rae Overholt lets out a cry as more weight is put on her tender back, it almost comes out as a sob. Releasing his wrist, she raises her injured arm to touch him on the face softly, trying to snap him out of it. As he leans in to kiss her again, she turns her head to the side.

Gabriel Keats jerks back at the touch. . .at first, he's angry, the voices are screaming, and he grinds against her in one, hard thrust. . .and then it's as though the world is broken. The brightness fades, the voices retreat to a low murmur, and he's looking at the side of Rae's face. His expression becomes one of horror; but he doesn't move, too shocked to react.

Rae Overholt lets out a tense breath as he pauses, and turns her face to look at him hesitantly. Spotting his expression, her eyes widen and she grabs his collar. "It's ok Gabe, you werent yourself, but, I need you to move. My back hurts." she states in a strained voice.

Gabriel Keats seems to jump off. . .not only off of her, but off the bunk, retreating to a far corner. "Oh, God. . ."

Rae Overholt clenches her eyes shut as the motion jars her, "Gabe, you can't leave. I cant get down. I dont think I can move right now."

Gabriel Keats closes his eyes. The voices are a little louder now. . .but he knows they're not real. Rae, however, is. He nods and walks over silently, offers her a hand. He'd apologize. . .but he can't even form the words.

Rae Overholt looks at his hand, thinking its going to take more than that to get her up. "Gabe, seriously, my back hurts. I don't think I can."

Gabriel Keats winces. He swallows hard. "All right. . ." He climbs back onto the bunk. "I--I can carry you down."

Rae Overholt lets out a half hearted chuckle. "how you going to manage that?"

Gabriel Keats is breathing in shallow, ragged breaths. He puts an arm around Rae, lifts her gently, avoiding the injured areas, his arm shaking.

Rae Overholt puts her uninjured arm around him. She tries to stay calm but can't help but be shaky due to the pain of her back. A light sweat forms on her forhead.

Gabriel Keats puts his other arm under her legs, lifting those so she's no longer lying on the bed, but is raised a little.

Rae Overholt tells him in a soft voice, "Gabe, its ok, honest. No one has to know. Its ok." Feeling a warm spot on her back.

Gabriel Keats carefully climbs down, taking her with him. When he speaks, his voice is angry, harsh. "I know."

Rae Overholt winces at the tone in his voice and says "don't be angry at me."

Gabriel Keats lays her down gently on the bottom bunk, on her front, so her back is exposed. His face suddenly loses all of the hardness. "Oh. . .no. . .no, God, Rae, I'm not mad at you. I'm sorry. . ." He looks at her back. "I think you're going to need new dressings on that."

Rae Overholt nods, turning her face to look at him questioningly, "I'm sorry, it was my fault. I shouldn’t have been up there. I-I" *thinks of how to cover for her actions* "I was lonely. You're not going to leave are you?"

Gabriel Keats looks at her, eyes shining brightly. "It was not your fault. If you hadn't--if I hadn't--" He trails off and closes his eyes. "You do need a change. . .I can get the Doctor if you want. . .or I can come back. . ."

Rae Overholt: I'd prefer you. At least I know you like me, *gives him a grin that’s as close to devilish as she can get at the moment*

Gabriel Keats returns the grin, forgetting himself for the moment, eyes lighting up. . .but then he shakes his head as though distracted. "I'll be right back." He leaves the room and heads towards the infirmary.

Gabriel Keats goes to the infirmary, grabs disinfectant and fresh gauze. . .then stops by his bunk and takes a worn, green knapsack. Brings all of it back to Rae's bunk.

Rae Overholt is mostly asleep when he returns, she groggily greets him and settles back to rest, not having moved from where he put her.

Gabriel Keats speaks softly. "Rae?"

Rae Overholt manages to let out a small "mmm"

Gabriel Keats: "I need to take a look at that."

Rae Overholt makes no response, eyes closed, face turned towards him and her right arm hanging off the bed.

Gabriel Keats sets the knapsack down; it makes a glassy clinking sound. Kneels next to the bed and starts changing the dressings and using the antiseptic

Rae Overholt 's lips smack once as she settles into a dream about chocolate, cheesecake and a hot bath.

Gabriel Keats finishes with the dressings and walks over to the far corner where he's set down his knapsack. Takes out two bottles of whiskey. One almost empty, one full. Opens the full one. Says to no one in particular. "God, make it stop! Stop it!"

Gabriel Keats opens the full bottle with one smooth, practiced motion. He tilts his head back, lifts the bottle, and starts chugging.

Gabriel Keats he finishes half the bottle before coming up for air, and sits there a while. The voices are still going. They fade showly. He drinks more, eyes going red and blurry.

Gabriel Keats tries to stand after finishing most of the bottle. The voices are gone. . .he's gone. His steps are staggering as he heads towards the door. , ,but then it overtakes him, and he falls, passed out on the floor, truly asleep, the voices finally gone.

 

After all the Patching Up

Sabrina McGee: So... this is my bunk…

Shen Jiutai: So I see...

Sabrina McGee: I'm really glad you're okay... you had me really worried there… I mean... look at how much a basket-case Gabe is over Rae…

Shen Jiutai: I don't know what I was thinking... I followed a fleeing Pirate, and got shot in the back.... STUPID!!!

Sabrina McGee: Bad Shen… no stupid stuff... I couldn't bear to lose you now…

Shen Jiutai: Well, I couldn't let anything happen to you either, that's why I had to follow that Johnny Jerko back in here...

Sabrina McGee sighs… yeah… and I probably shouldn't have pulled a gun either... but I couldn't just let him walk on…

Shen Jiutai: You pulled a gun? Babe, ya know how to use those things?

Sabrina McGee: You didn't see me in the Cargo hold holding him back when he had the Doc?

Shen Jiutai: I was lookin' at him... I'd hoped you were sensible...

Sabrina McGee: if it makes you feel better, I still haven't actually -fired- a shot

Shen Jiutai: well, we should take of that... ifn' you're gonna be pullin' a gun against the likes of Johnny Jerko... Ya gotta learn how ta use 'um proper...

Sabrina McGee: Maybe later… not so much wanting the guns right now... more with the holding.

Shen Jiutai looks into Sabrina's eyes " I just don't want anything to hurt you, is all"

Sabrina McGee looks back... "Or you..."

Shen Jiutai pulls Sabrina closer and gently kisses her on the lips

Sabrina McGee wraps her arms around Shen and leans into the kiss

Shen Jiutai: "G'night all..." Shen giggles from a forward bunk.

((Fade to Black))

After the battle. . .

Gabriel Keats sits by Rae's bed, touching her hand. "I'm sorry. . ." His voice is hoarse.

Rae Overholt 's only response is a slight twitching of her pinky finger.

Gabriel Keats closes his eyes and sighs, knowing that what he's saying is useless. Gets up to get a change of dressings for her wounds.

Rae Overholt 's lashes flutter slightly as she dreams, incorporating Gabe's speech into her dream. She see's her brother, alive holding out a stone to her. In the background a voice says over and over "I'm sorry."

Gabriel Keats walks back to the bed, carrying the gauze. After a moment of hesitation, he starts to remove one of the patches on her back, touching her skin in the process

Rae Overholt hears her brother repeat, "earth, from earth." and then the voice is matched with a face, Marcus stands before her, holding out her necklace, sadness on his face.

Gabriel Keats has the fleeting impression of. . .something. He pulls away sharply. "What the hell?"

Rae Overholt slumps back onto the table

Gabriel Keats looks at her, questioning. "Rae? Can you hear me?"

Rae Overholt's head moves slightly and her arm slides its way off the table.

Gabriel Keats waits for a long moment. He's about to go back to changing the dressings when he sees the movement. Takes her hand gently. "Are you there?"

Rae Overholt let's out a small noise, almost as if she is still dreaming

Gabriel Keats gets another fleeting impression. He figures he's tired, shakes it off. "Rae, it's Keats. . ."

Rae Overholt blearily opens her eyes, trying to focus on the voice, a blurry shape comes into view and she mumbles, "marcus"?

Gabriel Keats looks at her, concerned. "It's Keats, Rae. Are you awake?"

Rae Overholt blinks a few times and says in a hoarse voice, "water please?"

Gabriel Keats sees something, thinks he's seeing himself. . .blinks and squeezes her hand

Gabriel Keats snaps to attention, hurries and comes back with a glass of water and a straw

Rae Overholt takes a sip of the water only to realize it might not be the best idea and pushes it away.

Gabriel Keats sets the water down near her.

Rae Overholt: what happened? shen? lexi? *she murmors*

Gabriel Keats: They're okay. . Lexi took it pretty bad, but the doc patched him up. Shen's all right, too.

Rae Overholt nods, not trusting herself to talk much and motions a hand to Gabe.

Gabriel Keats creases his brow.

Rae Overholt lets out a breathy "sorry, you?" before clamping her lips shut again

Gabriel Keats looks down. "I ain't hurt." He swallows. "I wasn't there."

Rae Overholt nods slightly

Gabriel Keats forces a smile. "I was a mite worried about you, though. The crew'll be happy to have their Captain back."

Rae Overholt closes her eyes tightly and frowns, thinking how she screwed up and let everyone get hurt..."shouldnt be captain" she thinks

Gabriel Keats looks at her. "Yes, you should. People get hurt. . .no one got dead."

Rae Overholt opens her eyes and gives him a startled look

Rae Overholt lays there wondering if she is going crazy and thinking out loud

Gabriel Keats looks at her, expression very confused. "I--" He shakes his head as though to clear it, as though he's distracted by something. "We've got a couple of the pirates. . .I think the rest of the crew locked them in a crate." His expression goes dark. "Wasn't my first choice"

Rae Overholt reaches out to him, "s' kay gabe."

Gabriel Keats: "They shot you. Ain't like they should be walkin' round"

Rae Overholt lets her hand drop when he doesn't take it, "shot them too gabe." She blinks a few times, trying to ignore the nausea.

Gabriel Keats's face is still angry. "They started it." He stalks to the corner and returns with a basin, holds it out to her worldessly.

Rae Overholt looks at the basin, taking deep breaths trying to settle her stomach, only making it worse with the smell of blood. She lets out an indistinct noise one second before she rolls to the side and heaves, spitting up the small amount of water she drank.

Rae Overholt leans back looking utterly embarrased and miserable she throws her arm over her eyes.

Gabriel Keats holds the basin. "It's all right. We all do it sometimes. One time, over at Rol's. . ." He smiles, trying to make her feel better.

Rae Overholt 's mouth twitches as if she is trying to hold back tears and she goes to raise her other arm to cover her face as well only to realize it throbs like mad.

Gabriel Keats: ". . .Rae? I know this ain't the time to be askin', but. . .are you all right?

Rae Overholt mumbles, "dont worry 'bout me. You okay? Why arent you restin, why ya here?"

Gabriel Keats looks at her, giving her an almost amused look. "Couldn't have you sittin' here all by yourself."

Rae Overholt notices gabe's state of undress quizically, "why ya half nekkid Gabe? Got designs on me while I'm helpless?"

Gabriel Keats has the decency to look abashed. "No. Doc said to dress the wounds, and your shirt was wrecked. Thought you might be. . .cold."

Rae Overholt takes stock and notices the shirt half draped over her, "sorry gabe, your nice shirt too, and I ruined it."

Gabriel Keats: "Ain't nothin' I can't take care of."

Rae Overholt: you get any rest? You look so tired Gabe.

Gabriel Keats shakes his head. "Naw. . .didn't want to leave you alone. I ain't tired, though."

Rae Overholt: Doc told you I'd be ok.

Gabriel Keats looks at her, quizzical. "Seein' it and hearin' it are two different things."

Gabriel Keats: "Don't worry about me"

Rae Overholt looks at the bandages piled on the counter, ready to go. "those for me?"

Gabriel Keats walks over and takes them from the counter. "Yep. Doc said to change them every four hours"

Rae Overholt: I's out four hours?

Gabriel Keats nods. "You gave us all a fright"

Rae Overholt looks skeptic

Gabriel Keats "You don't believe me?"

Rae Overholt: Why, I'm replaceable enough, dont owe me nuthin.

Gabriel Keats: "You're our captain." He smiles. "Ain't so easy to replace that. You worry 'bout that too much."

Rae Overholt: Well, as your captain, I order you to tell me why you're so wild eyed. *she tells him groggily*

Gabriel Keats sighs. "Just worried. I guess I am tired. . .I. . .there were things I'd see when I'd nod off. . .I'd see someone who looked like me. . .a stone. . .a rich family on the core. . ."

Rae Overholt frowns slightly, getting goosebumps, "When was that?"

Gabriel Keats shrugs. "Just before you woke up. Why?"

Rae Overholt blinks, "Nothin, just worried. You need some rest."

Gabriel Keats: "Naw, I ain't that tired." He uses all of his willpower to keep from yawning. "Sides, with all the racket around here, it ain't like I can sleep."

Rae Overholt: Racket?

Gabriel Keats: "Yeah. Everyone talkin' about what happened and all."

Gabriel Keats: "They're bein' awfully loud about it, ain't they?"

Rae Overholt listens to the silence, getting more goosebumps, "yeah, guess they are. Could you help me out?"

Gabriel Keats: "Sure. Do you need the water again?"

Rae Overholt shakes her head, "no, gotta clean up, can't stand, blood, smell. Need some clean clothes from my bunk, locker." she gives him a hopeful look

Gabriel Keats moves towards the door. "I can get those. Anything in particular you want?"

Rae Overholt shakes her head, trying to sit up without loosing the loosly draped shirt so she can get to the shower outside. "just clean." She grimmaces as she feels the aches from her various scrapes and wounds.

Gabriel Keats steps to the door. "I'll see what I can find. Then I'll help you clean up." He exits the room, heading towards Rae's bunk.

Rae Overholt watches him leave, wondering what could be causing him to hallucinate . Her stomach turns cold with worry as she tries to think of ways to keep an eye on him. Wondering if maybe he CAN hear thoughts, and if he can hear what she is thinking now. If he can then she was screwed, she'd not be able to keep an eye on him. She begins to formulate a plan she hopes will work. Relying on his apparent fondness of her to help her pull it off.

Gabriel Keats comes back after a few minutes holding a pair of pants and a loose, comfortable t-shirt

Rae Overholt gives him a greatful look, "thanks. Mind helping me to the shower? Maybe turning it on and all. You can finish what you started when I get out?"

Gabriel Keats is concerned. "If you think you can stand. I'll help you walk."

Rae Overholt nods and holds an arm out to him, bracing heavily on him as they make their way to the shower.

Gabriel Keats walks slowly, so that she isn't pushed too much. ". . .you all right, Rae? You seem a mite edgy."

Rae Overholt: Just not feelin well Gabe, sorry to be such a bother. "she looks at her feet as they walk to hide the concern in her eyes"

Gabriel Keats laughs. "You're not a bother."

Gabriel Keats arrives at the shower, hesitates outside.

Rae Overholt nods to the door and says, "turn it on for me? Close your eyes if ya gotta, but I need help with buttons" puts one hand on the buttons on her pants."

Gabriel Keats's sense of propriety battles with his sense of chivalry. "All right. . ." He undoes the button for her, maintaining a detached expression."

Gabriel Keats he then moves to turn on the shower, trying very hard to avoid looking.

Rae Overholt: Rae Overholt lets out a sigh at his seeming hesitancy and says somewhat bitterly, "Not like I'm gonna force myself on ya Gabe." She waits for him to turn on the water and slowly makes her way in, closing the door behind herself and trying her best to wriggle out of what clothes she has left, "Be out soon." She steps under the water and stands motionless, letting the water rinse the blood off and sting her scrapes and cuts. Once she is sufficiently clean she exits, finding a towel and doing the best she can. She looks at her clothes in misery wondering how she's going to manage that.

Gabriel Keats frowns, and stops avoiding looking. "I'm just trying not to make you uncomfortable."

Gabriel Keats: "I can help you with the clothes. If you're not averse to the notion."

Rae Overholt reaches out and takes the t'shirt begins struggling into it, working it over her injured arm first and then sliding it over her head and on her other arm, she then sits down and stares gloomily at the pants. "Might need some help." Figuring he was fibbing anyhow, with how all the men here acted like she had the plague.

Gabriel Keats takes the pants and bends down to help her put them on. Doesn't shy away from touching her; in fact, at least once, he might almost be copping a very slight feel.

Rae Overholt sighs and stands up, grabbing one side of the pants to help pull them up, "Thanks, wanna do the bandages now?" She does not seem to notice his sudden eagerness to put her pants on, being lost in thought of what to do next in her plan.

Gabriel Keats nods. "I'll have to go under your shirt and disinfect it. That okay, Rae?"

Rae Overholt nods and uses one arm to try to lift up her shirt slightly to help out.

Rae Overholt: You took it off, not much to hide now.

Gabriel Keats takes some disinfectant and cleans the wounds. "Sorry--this is probably going to sting like hell."

Rae Overholt keeps her eyes closed, focusing on an image in her mind to distract herself.

Gabriel Keats finishes disinfecting and starts putting the gauze on.

Gabriel Keats shakes his head slightly, distracted., then continues

Gabriel Keats finishes laying the last of the tape. "That should do it. Not as pretty as the doc's, but it'll hold"

Rae Overholt nods and releases her shirt, holding her arm up to him next.

Rae Overholt see's the image in her mind and hears water in her ears.

Gabriel Keats takes her arm and walks a bit, then pauses. "Ai ya. . .I'm more tired than I thought." He enters the hallway. "Wish the ruttin' crew'd shut it"

Rae Overholt looks to gabe, "you think of something else, you think of running water, block it out." She nervously bites her lip, wondering if this is going to work. "I dont feel so good gabe, you mind bunkin in the top bunk, keepin an eye on me for awhile?"

Gabriel Keats looks at her, startled. "What?"

Gabriel Keats notices what she said, and smirks. "Xiao Li is gonna have a field day with this"

Rae Overholt: Got the extra bunk, not askin ya to sleep with me Gabe. *she said iritably*

Gabriel Keats stiffens slightly. "Ain't what I meant."

Gabriel Keats leads her to her bunk, silent.

Rae Overholt: Good, then ya will. *nods*

Gabriel Keats opens the door, looking slightly hurt.

Rae Overholt looks at him in confusion, just happy enough she can keep an eye on him for awhile longer. Looks down the ladder, "You first"

Gabriel Keats nods quietly, then climbs down. Stands behind the ladder, holding out a hand to help her down.

[Rae Overholt turns and slowly makes her way down the ladder, coming to an abrupt halt at the bottom and rocking back against him, "I'm gonna sit for awhile, you get some rest. Try thinking bout a waterfall. Helps block out noise for me."

Gabriel Keats steadies her. "All right. . .already thinkin' bout one to tell you the truth. Don't know where in the hell it came from."

Gabriel Keats moves to try and help her to sit down

Rae Overholt: Good. Thanks.

Rae Overholt closes her eyes and again, focuses on a waterfall, getting the surreal feeling that he isnt hallucinating at this point and wondering what the hell she's going to do.

Gabriel Keats climbs onto the top bunk, eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling.

Gabriel Keats is focusing on Rae, making sure she's still breathing...

Rae Overholt is still focusing on the waterfall, hoping it helps to sooth him so he can rest.

Gabriel Keats eventually drifts off to a light, fitful sleep.

Rae Overholt sighs with relief and sends a thanks to buddah, wondering how the crew is going to react to his new behavior.

Gabriel Keats's sleep is punctuated by the occasional violent tossing motion.

Rae Overholt stands up, bracing against the bunks, she reaches out to put a hand on his forhead, trying to think of soothing things, rain on rooftops, waves on the oceans, soft music

Gabriel Keats's expression softens, stops moving.

Rae Overholt removes her hand and watches him a moment, wondering if he will be okay.

Gabriel Keats stirs without opening his eyes. "Rae?"

Rae Overholt looks at him, wide eyed, "gabe?"

Gabriel Keats: ". . .I was really worried. I'm glad you're okay."

Rae Overholt curses to herself and laments she didnt give him the bottom bunk.

Gabriel Keats: "Do you want me to move?"

Rae Overholt: s ok Gabe, I'm fine.

Rae Overholt wonders if he is awake or asleep as he talks to her, looking around the room for a chair she eyes the bunk as well. "if'n you're awake, ya might be more comfortable on the bottom bunk." she whispers.

Gabriel Keats: "I'm more worried. . .want you to be comfortable. . .can you climb?" His eyes move beneath his lids. "I wanted to fucking kill him. I wanted to put a hole in his fucking head." His voice is calm, sleepy.

Rae Overholt exhales a small puff of air, "I'll be fine gabe." figuring at this point he is mostly asleep. Looking around again she grimances, knowing this is going to hurt. She carefully moves a chair close and uses it to help her climb onto the top bunk as carefully as she can, knowing she'll probably scare the bajeezus out of him if she wakens him, but more worried about keeping him calm and resting to give it too much thought. Halfway up she pauses to catch her breath, feeling slightly lightheaded. Gritting her teeth she pulls herself up at the foot of the bunk and tries to figure out how to do this comfortably.

Gabriel Keats murmurs. "Wanted to see him bleed out on the gorram floor. . ." He continues drifting, still muttering. "Who's Marcus? Am I Marcus?"

Rae Overholt pauses and stares at him in shock at the mention of Marcus, she takes a moment to center herself, hoping nothing horribly embarrasing has slipped from her mind as she edges up and tries to get comfortable next to him, thinking of as many positive calming things as she can.

Gabriel Keats settles down, breathing becomes mostly even.

Rae Overholt lets out a sigh of relief, praying this can be taken care of before Xiao Li gets her feathers ruffled and starts throwing accusations around, and before she does any damage to her stitches, being this uncomfortable.

Gabriel Keats continues to sleep, undisturbed for the moment

Rae Overholt closes her eyes and tries to doze as well, trying not to drool on his shoulder.

Before the battle. . .

Gabriel Keats: ::looks at Rae:: You ready, Cap'n?

Rae Overholt: As ready as you can be for a fight. Adrenaline is pretty high, you?

Gabriel Keats: ::gives a smile that's mostly relaxed: I've been in worse. Not lookin' forward to it. . .

Gabriel Keats: You ever been in a battle, Rae?

Rae Overholt: Just minor stuff. Mostly security work. Nothing large.

Gabriel Keats: That's right. . .::tilts his head:: You said you were on Persephone, right?

Rae Overholt: Yes, grew up there. Docks.

Gabriel Keats: I've been there. . .::grins:: I ever see you before?

Rae Overholt: I dont know. I dont ..you remind me of someone, but. I'm not sure if I ever met you.

Gabriel Keats: I got the strangest feeling. . .'course there are lots of folk down by the docks. Ain't many as pretty as you, though.

Rae Overholt smiles at Gabe, "thanks. Not many as colorful either. What did you do? Maybe in my hijinx I ran into you once?"

Gabriel Keats: Investigated. Looked into things. . .saw lots of interesting people. Most of em were pretty bad, but some. . .they were okay. What in the hell were you doin' down there, though?

Rae Overholt: Surviving..learning. Stayed at the Blue Dragon Dojo with my master.

Gabriel Keats: Hnuh. I've been to that dojo a few times. . .just in and out, mostly, answering questions.

Gabriel Keats: Shame I don't remember you. . .::grins wickedly:: I should've.

Rae Overholt: Most likely I'd have been cleaning.

Rae Overholt: Why Gabe, are you hitting on me? Everyone else is too scared to.

Gabriel Keats: They're the cowardly sort. Frankly, I'm more scared of Xiao.

Rae Overholt: She is a fright sometimes.

Rae Overholt: Seems if I ever want to dance here I will have to order it. Unless you become my dance partner.

Gabriel Keats: Cap'n. . .Rae. . .I'd dance with you anytime. Just none of those strange Core dances. Those are a mite confusing.

Rae Overholt: Sometimes Gabe, you slip up..and its obvious you are from the core. Why hide it?

Gabriel Keats: ::lowers his voice, loses the country accent, his voice sounding almost cultured:: It's not a place that I like to think about.

Gabriel Keats: . . .please. . .don't tell the others.

Rae Overholt: I'm sorry to hear that. Don't worry. Maybe you can fill me in some time on it?

Rae Overholt: You're good with pretending arent you?

Gabriel Keats: ::closes his eyes, seeming to be thinking of something far off and horrible:: I am.

Rae Overholt: I guess I'll have to watch you then. *Reaches out and touches his arm* You ok?

Gabriel Keats: ::opens his eyes and smiles, all traces of the angst gone, and the accent returned:: Hell, I'm perfection itself.

Rae Overholt smirks at him. "sure Gabe, you're very nice, I"ll admit that, but none of us are perfect" She states, giving him a sly once over.

Gabriel Keats: Well, we're a damn sight closer than most. ::raises his eyebrows:: Dýou mind if I ask you a question?

Rae Overholt gives him a little suprised look, "I suppose, ask away. Don't reckon I have to answer if I dont want."

Gabriel Keats: That you don't. . .why'd you leave Persephone?

Rae Overholt: I wanted to see the stars. Close up.

Gabriel Keats: You can sure see 'em here. . .complete lack of bright lights.

Rae Overholt: Yes, they are beautiful. I try to get a rock from the planets I visit. Never know when that rock might be all thats left.

Rae Overholt reaches up and touches her necklace.

Gabriel Keats: ::follows her hand:: Where's that one from?
[19:21] Rae Overholt 's face closes off, "Nowhere, just, just a childhood fairytale told by an older brother dead and gone."

Gabriel Keats: ::tenatively touches your hand, squeezes a little:: Fairytales never die.

Rae Overholt smiles at Gabe, "Didn't figure you for the romantic type."

Gabriel Keats: I ain't. But I thought you might need it. ::gives a half smile:: Sometimes we all need a hand.

Gabriel Keats: ::the only thing giving away his nervousness is his eyes--they're bright, pupils dialated::

Rae Overholt: That we do. Let's go follow the others and do this thing.

Zerocool Fell decides that the Raven is as good a place as any to haunt.

Rio Starr looks over at Lexi, then frowns. "Gabe...come finish prepping Rae. You get her shirt off--be careful of the back wound--and wipe this around the bleeding wounds." he hands Gabriel the biogel as he moves towards the heavily seeping Lexi.

Xiao Li disengages from what's left of Blaze's ship and high-tails it back toward Washburne

Gabriel Keats takes off Rae's shirt, too distracted to really pay attention to anything bad, careful not to hurt her "Sabrina, tell Xiao to get us the ruttin' hell back."

Lexi Vargas: Awwww....we had to leave all that stuff?!

Sabrina McGee shouts back.. "Already on our way!"

Rio Starr nearly physically scoops Lexi into the medbay, his face focused and pale as he notes the nearly black blood dripping heavily from the redhead's back. "Gabe...what color is the blood coming from her back?"

Gabriel Keats starts rubbing the gel in the wounds. "Where's everyone you caught?"

Xiao Li gets the autopilot set and heads down toward the medbay.

Lexi Vargas swats at Rio...”Hey Hey..watch the man handling Doc."

Rio Starr: "Lexi. Shut. Up. And. Do what I tell you."

Gabriel Keats while prepping Rae. "Or the doc'll lay you out. And I'll help."

Rio Starr: "Gabe? Her blood? What color is it, is it just red? Or does she have bubbles or is it blackish?"

Gabriel Keats looks hard. "Mostly red. Can't tell with the bubbles--there's so much of it. It looks too dark, though."

Lexi Vargas: Is in a wierdly good mood and so doesn't protest much....in fact he hums to himself as Rio does the doctoring.

Gabriel Keats: "I'm not a doctor, Rio."

Xiao Li looks around at the various wounded crewmen and pirates. "Shensheng de gaowan! What happened in there?"

Rio Starr breathes out a sigh. "Gabe... you just keep that bandage pressed against that big wound on her back. I need to see to Lexi first." He stretches Lexi out. "On your stomach, red," he says, worried.

Gabriel Keats looks over at Xiao. "They got shot. Are you going to be able to go back for the cargo?" His face looks a little calmer now.

Gabriel Keats pushes on the wound, apply pressure, murmuring under his breath.

Lexi Vargas: Lots of bullets...and lasers and things.: comments lex as he lays out. "It was something. Some sucker shot me from behind I think"

Rio Starr tries to soak up all the blood coming from Lexi. He's bleeding a lot...and it's blackish blood.

Gabriel Keats: "What's the black mean, doc?"

Xiao Li: Not without refueling someplace first. That cloaking system eats through fuel like you wouldn't believe.

Rio Starr: "Liver shot." He frowns. "Anyone else able to help?" he yells out.

Gabriel Keats: "Sabrina, help Rio. Xiao, is there anyone left in the cargo bay?"

Xiao Li: Ours or theirs?

Rio Starr: "Ours! Someone to help here!"

Gabriel Keats: "Theirs. If they're not injured, get them up here, get them helping."

Lexi Vargas: Yeah, there is a prisoner in the bay.

Xiao Li: Just some guy stuck in a crate... what the ruttin' hell?

Gabriel Keats: "Use your natural ruttin' charm, I don't care."

Sabrina McGee: Oh yeah, the guy Cap'n told us to put in a box..

Montanio Andalso looks out from the crate and frowns a little. "I'm still alive...but really, is this box necessary?"

Sabrina McGee: Well, apparently they want your help in the med bay, so no.

Gabriel Keats shouts. "Yours too, Sabrina!"

Xiao Li gestures toward the airlock. "If you don't like it, you're welcome to step outside."

Rio Starr keeps his hand firmly pressed against the worst wound in Lexi's lower back, trying to staunch the blood. "Someone get the foam bandage... Gabe, you okay with using that on the cap'n's back? You just spray it on...not that worst one, though."

Lexi Vargas: Hums happily and dozes off once he lays down. Comfy.

Sabrina McGee: Remember the part where I work on engines, not people?

Gabriel Keats: "No problem. I've seen a hell of a lot worse."

Sabrina McGee: What the gorram am I supposed to do?

Gabriel Keats scowls. "If the engines break, then you can get to worryin' about that."

Rio Starr nods to Gabriel, then looks to Sabrina. "You can press down, right? Come here and take over on Lexi's bandage...keep firm pressure."

Lexi Vargas dozes contentedly...blood loss made him mellow. Maybe he should be shot more often.

Gabriel Keats applies the foam, leaving the worst of it for the doctor.

Gabriel Keats glares that the pirate, eyes cold, black, and unwavering. "You'll help whenever the doc gorram tells you to."

Rio Starr nods to Sabrina, then moves quickly to gather up his surgical equipment. "Good." He looks up to Montanio. "Come over here and hold the light. Can you handle that?"

Xiao Li peers in at the unconscious pirate on the floor.

Montanio Andalso eyes Rio a moment and then nods, the man coming over to hold the light for the doctor.

Xiao Li: That's the hun dan we've been chasing after?

Sabrina McGee: Apparently..

Gabriel Keats looks at him, face appearing as though he's barely resisting the urge to pick up his gun and finish him off.

Lexi Vargas: blinks as lights brighten over him. "What the hell are you all doing in my bunk" he grumps sleepily.

Sabrina McGee: Fixing it.

Gabriel Keats whispers. "I'm sorry, I should've been there."

Rio Starr dopes Lexi quickly with one shot, then gives him a second shot. "Gabe...it's fine. Just focus on now, okay? How's the foam bandage? Done?"

Shen Jiutai: I'm sorry... who's bunk are you fixing?

Gabriel Keats: Done!

Montanio Andalso seems immediately surprised. "That's the Captain."

Gabriel Keats tosses what's left to the doc.

Sabrina McGee: Keeping Lexi conscious. How's your arm, Shen?

Gabriel Keats looks at Rio. "What's next? How's he doing?” points at Lexi.

Sabrina McGee: Doc, if you've got this handled.. I need to go put pressure on someone else's arm..

Shen Jiutai: Doc done patched me up real good...

Rio Starr catches the canister and uses it on Lexi's wounds, moving around Sabrina so she can keep pressure on that worst wound. Then he grabs his needles and lasers, and nudges Sabrina gently out of the way. "Thanks for your help."

Gabriel Keats: "He doesn't look very well..."

Rio Starr: "Liver shots are dicey. He could have bled to death in a matter of moments...so it's not a really bad one."

Gabriel Keats tilts his head. "He need blood?"

Rio Starr nods to Gabe. "Yes. Rae will need it to. You know where it is?"

Lexi Vargas: turns to look reproachfully at the Doc when he gives the shot. "Hell's bells. I don't need that." though he sounds a bit slurry.

Gabriel Keats "Where? I can donate."

Montanio Andalso holds the light as he looks down at the shot fellow, pursing his lips a bit. He puts his other hand on his hip.

Gabriel Keats snaps his head to look the pirate in the face. "Do it and I will end you."

Rio Starr: "Plasma is in the cabinet over there." He gestures with his chin towards one corner of the med bay, then snorts at Lexi. "Shush and go to sleep" He waits until Lexi seems subdued and out before he starts cauterizing.

Gabriel Keats goes to the cabinet that Rio indicated, and takes out several units of plasma. "This stuff?"

Relaxed, low on blood...and doped. It will make an interesting Lexi and one that seems disinclined to sleep. "Has anyone told you that you are bossy Doc?"

Gabriel Keats: "Xiao, go up there, make sure we're not being followed."

Xiao Li nods and heads up to the bridge

Shen Jiutai: I'm OK Darlin, but I might be needing some help whippin any eggs in the galley...

Sabrina McGee: I'm heading upstairs..

Gabriel Keats looks at Rio. "How many you need? "

Sabrina McGee looks at Shen.. "Comin'?"

Shen Jiutai: Just for a spell...

Rio Starr nods to Gabriel. "You know anything about IV's?" He gives a soft *heh* to Lexi. "Many times. Okay, Sabrina .Thank you for your help."

Shay Jiutai: I'm with you...

Lexi Vargas: blinks a few times at the stranger holding the light, muzzlily trying to work that out.

Gabriel Keats: "Hook this up, stick her?" ::starts the process:: "I saw it in the war.

Rio Starr pauses and looks up. "If you can find a vein, yes, Gabe. Then why don't you just hold her hand for a bit. How's she breathing?"

Gabriel Keats Hangs the bag, takes one of the sterile needles and starts looking for a vein "Kinda raggedy, but there isn't any water-sounding stuff. I know that uh she's bad"

Montanio Andalso is the enemy! RAWR! But...he's not bleeding, which means he has a steadier hand than most the rest of the crew. He flashes a faint grin.

Lexi Vargas comments absently. "So all we got was a few bullet holes...and two fancy dressed yahoos? Man...that was a lousy haul"

Gabriel Keats finds the vein and sticks it, wincing as he does it

Rio Starr smiles. "That's good." He glances over at the unconscious pirate captain as well, checking on his status before returning to the cauterizing. It's a good thing Lexi's not really with it. The smell might bother him.

Gabriel Keats takes Rae's hand and looks at Rio, though he's mostly talking to himself, "I hope we kill those sons of bitches." Gabriel Keats takes off his shirt and lays it over Rae

Montanio Andalso is bothered by the smell! "Ugh..." he makes a face and looks anywhere but the wound site.

Montanio Andalso casts a quick look out towards Gabriel's voice and his mind starts reeling with possible ways to preserve himself. "What a nice infirmary you have here."

Lexi Vargas winces slightly and gives the doc another black look.

Rae Overholt would be thinking about now if she was awake that mont was a pansy and a wimp with his facial expressions and tidy ways.

Gabriel Keats: "Yeah. Good thing, too, seeing as you about killed half the crew."

Lexi Vargas: (And he did it with a can of creamed corn)

Rio Starr smiles a bit. "It's enough," he says with a distracted voice, his gaze remaining on his victi--er, patient as he operates. The laser moves in infinitesimally small arcs, sealing the blood vessels as Lexi's bleeding abates.

Gabriel Keats looks at Rio. "She going to be all right? Him, too?"

Lexi Vargas sighs and closes his eyes. "Get out of my room."

Rio Starr nods again, looking up with a sigh. "Yes, Gabe. She'll be fine...Lexi too." He laughs softly. "Lexi...just relax. Almost done here... Just making sure you stay for a while."

Montanio Andalso looks around the room briefly, then to Rio, asking quietly, "This isn't really his room is it? Not very homey." A glance goes out towards Gabriel again. Then his hazel eyes give the man an up-and-down.

Lexi Vargas muses "Of course I am going to stay. Where else can you enjoy the weekly fun of the Drunk ship Lollylush"

Rio Starr: "So what's your name?" he asks Montanio as he finishes with the laser and packs Lexi's no-longer-bleeding wound with foam. "No.

He's a little out of it..." he assures Montanio.

Gabriel Keats isn't that tall, or impressive . . .but has an intensity in his black eyes that's a little frightening

Montanio Andalso was checking out the tatoos now that his shirt was off. He looks back to Rio and replies, "You know it’s a lot harder to kill someone if you know their name. So...it’s Montanio and I am very pleased to meet you."

Gabriel Keats half smiles at the introduction; feeling a little better now that he knows Rae's going to be okay.

Gabriel Keats then remembers why he’s here, and clenches his fist.

Lexi Vargas doesn't tend to talk much...but getting drugged seems to make him chatty. "I don't know. People I know the names of tend to alot of times be way more deserving of killing then strangers that ain't been rude to me yet'

Rio Starr gives a soft 'heh'. "I'm Rio. This is Lexi. That's Gabriel and the lady is Cap'n Rae," he replies, his dark eyes fixing on Montanio for a moment. "You're going to need to help with the cap'n too."

Gabriel Keats looks at Lexi. "Now he starts makin' sense.'

Rio Starr laughs a bit. "Let's get him onto the other table, and Cap'n up here. Doing okay, Gabe?"

Montanio Andalso glances left and right, then grins a little with his lips closed. "Whatever you want, Doctor. Apparently I am pretty good with a light."

Gabriel Keats: "Shiny." ::gets ready to help lift Rae::

Lexi Vargas: watches the captain be moved. "Where was she shot?'

Rio Starr: "Lexi...we're going to move you now," he warns. He helps the man up carefully. "Don't twist or bend too much for a while."

Gabriel Keats: Back, Lexi

Rio Starr makes sure Lexi's settled, then helps Gabe with getting Rae on the table.

Rio Starr focuses on Rae. It's much easier when the victim-- /PATIENT/, he reminds himself-- isn't protesting or moving.

Shen Jiutai: G'night all... Shen giggles from a forward bunk..

Lexi Vargas: sleeps.

Rio Starr finishes bandaging and stitching any other injures once the worst are taken care of. Then quietly goes mad. Wait. We're all mad here.

Pirates Ahoy 12-18-06

Rae Overholt: OK Kevin, you there? We're on our way in. Any sign of them yet?

Kevin Cliffe: Negative...if they operate like you say, we won't see them yet.

Rae Overholt: Xiao Li. Get us off this rock.

Kevin Cliffe: Let's get started. Act one.

Rae Overholt: We'll turn the camo on when we get out of atmosphere

Sabrina McGee: Navcom should have the coords by now.. you got 'em , Xiao Li?

Xiao Li Marshall *takes comm* This is the pilot speaking... everybody better strap yerself in.

Sabrina McGee: Lemme get back to the engine room to strap in..

Xiao Li Marshall: Yep. Coordinates set. Let's get this bird off the ground.

Kevin Cliffe: We don't need the feds seeing our toys. Okay...just be sure to kill the camo after you come out of burn.

Sabrina McGee: All righty.. engine room is green, Raven's purring like a kitten..

Rae Overholt:: Will do.. Right though. No need to turn it on till after the trade is made.

Xiao Li Marshall: Okay, everyone strapped in?

Rae Overholt: All ready

Kevin Cliffe: 99 bottles of beer on the wall...99 bottles of beer...damn I knew I was forgetting something...

Rae Overholt: Wont be noticed Kevin...almost over now..

Rio Starr: We'll get you a beer when we're done.

Xiao Li Marshall: Hey, if I can't fly drunk, neither can you. Quitcher bellyachin'.

Kevin Cliffe: I'm hitting atmo. I meant for the trade items.

Xiao Li Marshall: Lifting off... now! *pulls back on the yoke, and the Raven climbs upward into the black*..and we're out of atmo! Passengers are now free to move about the cabin and get ready to kick some pirate pi gu.

Rae Overholt: Shiny. Let's meet kevin.

Shen Jiuta: Pi gu Kickers standing by...

Xiao Li Marshall: You gonna turn on the camo, Cap'n? If Kevin put a control on this side, I can't find it.

Kevin Cliffe: Moment of truth...

Rae Overholt: Not yet..we'll do that after we make the swap..its been tested..he says it works

Xiao Li Marshall: *nods, checks readouts* At this speed, we've got about... 30, 35 minutes before we get to the rendezvous point.

Kevin Cliffe: *running silent now...does not want to give the pirates any comm chatter

Not that they would be able to break the encryption in time, anyway...*

Johnny Blaze starts moving for cover, swearing. "They -always- take the hard way. Why they always gotta take the hard way? Take 'em down, crew!" As he moves, the Captain grabs his niiiice and shiney -laser pistols!- from his holsters.

Rae Overholt dodges back behind her cover, only to peek back out and fire at gamma, "What’s that matter, not ready for us? THIEVES"

Zerocool Fell dives behind a crate. "Don't have to tell me twice, cap'n!" She ducks out and fires off a couple of shots in the direction of Shen, ducking back behind her crate without waiting to see if her shots hit home.

Xiao Li: SOMEbody's getting their pi gus kicked, I can't tell who... You're closer, you tell me!

Sirk Sumbula shotgun in hand, takes aim at Shen, and attempts to return fire

Montanio Andalso hears something he doesn't like the sounds of, so he glances left and right, and heads for the galley. Ben, a big guy, and Jerry, is in the cargo hold with their really big guns, so anyone entering the cargo area has to deal with them.

Billie fires her dual sawed off shottys the heroes

Shen Jiutai hides behind her cover, but sees Zerocool now and returns fire

Johnny Blaze’s hat goes flying off, poking up from behind a nice random crate. "Wei! I liked that!" One of his bodyguards returns fire, the other scrambling to retrieve the headgear for his Captain.

Xiao Li hears footsteps... footsteps she doesn't recognize. "Aiya huale..."

Elsbeth McConachie: Ye scurby dogs! It’s our catch, and ye cant have it

Rio Starr mutters something at the com link. "What, Xiao?"

Petey the parrot begins to say "it was a dark and stormy night"

Lexi Vargas: It's not hard to miss seeing that big white hat. It makes a dandy target after all. With the rifle braced on the crate tope to make it flawlessly steady, he takes aim an inch below the bobbing white...then shoots.

Rae Overholt whips out from behind her cover, takes aim at gamma and fires off another shot, blood running down her cheek from ricochet and splinters from the crate she was hiding behind. She then ducks back; lower this time, waiting to get off another shot.

Shen Jiutai sees an opportunity, leaves her cover and pounces on Zerocool, holding her gun to her face

Xiao Li returns to the bridge and pulls the com down. "Nothin'. Thought I heard something is all." Gorram ship's got me jumpin' at shadows again...

Zerocool Fell is stung in the face by bits of hot metal as Shen's shots punish the crates she's using for cover. She barely has time to regain her senses before Shen is on top of her holding a gun to her face. "Ai-yah! GET OFF ME!"

Billie starts to move towards the bridge of the ship

Gamma Reynolds is unable to avoid the shot this time. He takes the bullet in his right shoulder and falls back onto the deck in pain. Just then, Knight runs from further inside the ship and takes cover next to Gamma, gun drawn and seeking the one who shot him. He takes aim at Rae and pops off two rounds before taking cover again.

Poor Flux! Bad time to be carrying the hat. The bodyguard goes down in a tangle of limbs. "Hun dan!" Johnny pokes out from behind cover, a crimson lance scarring the hull towards Lexi.

Sirk Sumbula spots Shen jumping Zerocool, and starts to inch his way over, trying to sneak up behind

Shen Jiutai places a hand over Zerocools mouth and says "shut up if you want to live"

Bille calls out "who the hell are you?!" while trying to get around a corner

Rae Overholt yells out, "Watch out Shen, behind you!" She takes aim at Sirk, trying to prevent Shen from being injured. "Bash her senseless and get another one Shen" She then takes aim at the pirate hovering over the downed Gamma and fires.

Zerocool Fell jams the barrel of her own gun into Shay's ribs and tries to speak through Shen's hand. It comes out all muffled. "Drp yhr gn mff yeww wnn liff!"

Shen Jiutai says" so much for playin' nice as she swings the but of her gun at Zero cool's face...

Sirk Sumbula doesn't notice Rae aiming at him, continues to edge his way over, nearly on them now.

Ben, stands up with his gun blazing, trying to hit Lexi and Rae with at least some stray shotgun shrapnel. Jerry on the other hand, seems to be having a little trouble with his gun. It’s going click, click, click. He might be easy pickings.

Xiao Li: Rio, what the hell's going on down there?

Sirk Sumbula catches the shot in the shoulder, scrambling forward, ruining his cover behind the crates

Billie moves around a corner, and uses it as cover, while blasting at anyone who can be seen

Rio Starr: Nothing...just trying to see if I can tell what's going on out there

Zerocool Fell hears bells in her ears and sees a black fuzziness creeping in on the edges of her vision after Shen bashes her in the head. The last thing she sees is Shen jumping up to fight another pirate.

Shen Jiutai looks up to see the commotion behind her and fires at Gamma...

Knight is thankful he had taken cover after firing, as the return shots were far too close for comfort. He is fairly sure his face is bleeding from some kind of shrapnel. He peeks his head over the crates, trying to assess the situation. He fires again at Rae as he is unsure where anyone else is.

Petey the parrot recites another line of really bad poetry

Rae Overholt ducks again as she feels something hit her left arm, she switches her gun to her right hand and then takes aim at the pirate having trouble with his gun. Ducking she takes a moment to reload and then comes out, just as Knight shoots, feeling the heat of a bullet pass too close for comfort.

Lexi Vargas says a string of highly discouraging words as the laser tears thru the crate he was using as cover. Dozen's of glass vials tumble out of it, shattering ands spilling pale tinted liquids and glass over the floor. Wood chips, laser and shot shrapnel fly around the cussing red head and a long chunk of his red hair goes flying, snipped off by wildfire. With no cover, he makes a weaving charge for Bob, shooting as he goes.

Knight does not see Shen fire at him from behind. Taken completely off guard, he collapses to the ground dead from the bullet. He never sees who has shot him.

Billie moves towards the bridge while keeping a close eye one what going on around her

Sirk Sumbula manages to pick up his shotty again, barely able to hold it up with his injured shoulder, fires blindly behind him, in an attempt to hit the one who had injured his shoulder

Johnny is, perhaps, not -fully aware of the tactical situation. "We got 'em runnin'!" he crows out, reaching out for his hat amid the hail of fire. "This is what ya get for messin' with Johnny Blaze!"

Shen Jiutai , who is next to Sirk holds her gun to his back...

Zerocool Fell still sees two of everything, and the room won't stop spinning, but the sounds of gunshots and shouting around her are motivating her to drag herself back behind some cover. She scurries on all fours until she is huddled behind a stack of barrels. She clutches her throbbing head to try and stop the pain and dizziness from making her pass out again. She's in no condition to fight, and her gun only has three rounds left anyway. The rest are back in her cabin. She wasn't prepared for a fight yet when these people busted in.

Sirk Sumbula "Well.. hell..", tries to turn his gun on Shay

Jerry...poor guy, gets his gun working and aims it dead at Rae right in time to make friends with a bullet from her gun. He dies with a stunned look on his face, upright for a moment, then toppling over backwards in a heap of unloved meat. Only his mother will mourn him. Ben though, hey! He's having a good time shooting rather randomly and making weird grunting sounds.

Rae Overholt leans out and sends a shot at Ben, hoping to hit him in his flailing charge. Feeling her left arm going numb she wipes a streak of blood out of her eye and takes a shot at Billie.

The heroes hear Petey the parrot’s awful poetry fading down the halls of the ship

Mustang has only groggily awaked to the sound of the gunfire. Picking up his favorite handgun, he runs to the cargo hold. He peeks in the door and sees how desperate the situation has become. He sees Rae lean out from her cover and fires off two rounds from the door as he runs in finding the nearest cover.

Bille sees Shen trying to get a bead on her and fires some cover shots, while back pedaling to the bridge

Montanio Andalso is, meanwhile, in the galley, frowning at the sounds of lots and lots of gunfire below. He reaches for a gun, then winces a little, since it looks really sort of greasy and ugh! So instead he arms himself with a can of corn and hides behind the counter.

Shen Jiutai follows Billy to the bridge... ducking the shots fired...

Gamma Reynolds sees Shay following Billie into the ship and fires off a round at her back.

Rae Overholt taps her com and says to Xiao li, "HIT the EMP, take out their power! We're getting it from all sides" She then lets out a string of explicatives as Mustang's shot whizzes by, and turns to take fire on him.

Bille is trying to find cover.. ahh there is a partially open hatch and dives for it, leaving parrot feathers in her wake

Xiao Li jumps at the sound of the com...

Lexi Vargas is on deck, taking a run around the cargo edge in a attempt at a flanking maneuver

Xiao Li fumbles around--where the hell is the switch for the EMP?

Zerocool Fell uses one hand to pull herself up against a barrel into a kneeling position. She raises her gun hand and tries to look threatening, hoping she won't actually have to shoot while she's still seeing double.

Shen Jiutai takes a bullet to the shoulder and falls forward on her face

Sirk 2 taking his good ole' time to arrive, scans the room for unfamiliar faces to open fire upon.

Xiao Li finally locates the EMP button and SLAMs her full weight on it

Shen Jiutai rolls over looking for the holder of the gun that shot her

Gamma Reynolds rolls away after seeing Shen fall forward and finds new cover out of sight of the door.

Billie takes note of the EMP pulse that slams in the supply ship, and curses inventively

Sirk spots Mera behind the shattered crate, and charges in her direction, pulling his handgun from it's holster

Johnny is trying to track Lexi's progress with his laser, leaving a scorched wake behind it, when the EMP hits- *BWOMP* Sputter- Flicker- "Huh?" Click click. "Ta me de-" No more blazing!

Petey the parrot screeches very loudly hurting everyone’s ears, especially Billies

Ben is being shot at and such, but he's a big guy. He soaks up one bullet and keeps on truckin, rushin for Lexi as he soaks up another bullet of his as well. It’s going to be close quarters before he can be brought down.

Shen Jiutai regains her feet and hugs the wall of the corridor

Rae Overholt grins devilishly, and then notices the charger. Shoving sideways with her legs, she raises her pistol and fires at Sirk2.

Xiao Li blinks. Huh. She half-expected the EMP to take out the Raven's systems too. Score one for Cliffe.

Lexi Vargas: crouches as he runs the edge of the cargo, moving from crate to crate looking for a shot. He spots a dizzy looking female kneeling behind a crate, gun aimed at something...and lines up a shot on her.

Sabrina McGee hits the comm.. "That thump I just felt was you firing the EMP, right

Xiao Li: 'Less there's a fourth ship out there we don't know about.

Gamma Reynolds peeks out from behind his cover to see Lexi taking aim at Billie. He aims at Lexi and fires a shot.

Sirk2 seeing the gun raise, quickly shifts to the side, catching the bullet in the arm, leaps behind a crate, shouting random curses rather loudly

Zerocool Fell sees Lexi running from crate to crate... sees three of Lexi running in a maze of crates, actually. She picks one and shoots at it. "Take that, you... YOU!"

Shen Jiutai , with head pounding moves back towards the cargo bay

Bille reels in pain from her blown eardrum, and staggers behind the hatch to try and close it

Rae Overholt shouts out for shay, "SHEN YOU OKAY?" She then aims at the crate Sirk2 ducked behind, waiting for a chance. With no contact with Xiao since the EMP took out her com..she hopes this ends well.

Regular guns still work fine, luckily! The Captain stays low, making his way to the fallen bodyguard to retrieve the man's rifle. The still-standing bodyguard pops off a trio of shots to the gun-fu-tastic Rae, before making his own dive for safety.

Lexi Vargas didn't notice that big grunty ben didn’t go down when he shot him and so only notices the charge after he fired at Zero. A shot hits him and spins him back and down, just before Ben's impact hits.

Sirk2 peers around the edge of his cover, firing of a few rounds

Billie begins to reload in the relative quiet of her hidey hole

Gamma Reynolds continues moving silently through the crates. It seems as though everyone has lost him in the mess. He finds Rae behind some crates looking as though they've had better days and begins firing at the crates to make more holes.

Shen Jiutai makes out where Gamma took cover and slides up the wall in the darkness towards him.

Xiao Li, up in the bridge, radiates tension. She's no good in a gunfight, and she knows it, and if the crew goes down she'll be easy pickings for the pirates...

Petey the parrot flies off of Billies shoulder and perches on a crate

Montanio Andalso: Ben...he's already marked for death by the grim reaper. He just doesn't know it yet. He goes down with Lexi and proceeds to bleed...a lot. He's sort of wrestling and choking on blood at the same time. All Lexi has to do is outlast or finish him off.

Rio Starr moves down into the cargo bay of the Raven, laden with bandages and more.

Rae Overholt tries to wedge herself behind better cover as the crate is slowly picked apart and she is peppered with splinters. She rises up briefly to take another shot at mustang. Narrowly avoiding two of the shots from the bodyguard and taking a grazing blow from the third on her back.

Billie gets her bearings and looks around for a target

Shen Jiutai comes up behind Gamma as he's distracted by the parrot and places the barrel of her gun at the base of his skull

Gamma Reynolds pauses his firing, feeling warm metal on his face. He looks over to see the barrel of a gun attached to Shay. He debates his options at this point.

Lexi Vargas: growls in annoyance and pain as he wrestles with BEN. How -rude_ someone had the nerve to shoot him. He gets both hands around Ben's neck to try and hasten the Reaper's call.

Sirk 2 rises from his cover, and takes aim at Shen, "Hello there."

Billie peers around the hatch, and shuts the hatch between here and the gun fight

Shen Jiutai pulls the trigger and dives for cover

Gamma Reynolds is presumably dead as the bullet would not have traveled far before hitting his head

Rae Overholt takes the moment to shoot at Sirk2 when he leaves the safety of his cover, she then looks for another target, spotting Johnny's bodyguard's elbow sticking out she aims for it.

Zerocool Fell is down to two bullets... she's not sure if she got Lexi when she shot at him or not, but she knows that she's going to have to go get more bullets or start throwing rocks if she wants to stay in this fight. She summons all her strength to get to her feet. She staggers two steps toward the cargo bay's exit before she notices that something is very wrong. She's still not sure if her shot hit Lexi, but Lexi's shot definitely hit her. The pain in her head has distracted her until now, but she can't exactly ignore the growing bloodstain on her shirt. She suddenly understands why she's getting more and more light-headed instead of feeling less dizzy as time passes. The black fuzziness is creeping back into the edges of her field of vision, and she collapses back onto her hands and knees before rolling over onto her back. She can't feel much at this point, but she does feel streaks of heat as hot tears begin to roll down her face. This isn't how this mission was supposed to go.

Petey the parrot flies back to Billies shoulder spouting abysmally bad poetry

Ben has a scratch fat neck, and he gets Lexi pretty disgustingly splattered with blood, but he does go on to meet his maker after a few disgusting moments, leaving behind a few illegitimate children across the galaxy...but...he wasn't paying child support anyway.

There- An opening! Ought to be a way to force this little fiasco into something more favorable... A shout of 'Cover me!' to his remaining bodyguard gets a hail of fire laid out, while Johnny Blaze makes a dash for the Raven's side of bay's hatch. Surprise!

Sirk 2 takes the bullet to the gut, staggers back, and fires a few times in Rae's direction, before leaning against a crate to bleed a moment

Rae Overholt ducks behind her cover for a moment and then jumps up to run after Johnny as he heads for her ship. She goes for a flying tackle as he gets to the hatch.

Shen Jiutai fires some shots after Johnny as she gets to her feet again

Billie works her way around to the overhead catwalk

Rio Starr is in the cargo bay, keeping down by the mule. He blinks as someone not of the crew runs in. “Crap.”

Flax: Someone's going for the boss! Flax tries to blindside Rae with a tackle of his own as Johnny bursts into the scene. "Hands up, weapons down If you wanna live!" He brandishes his rifle fiercely!

Lexi Vargas: Once Ben gives his last gross phl

Sirk 2 contemplates leaving his cover, and bleeding elsewhere. Dies from blood loss instead.

Rae Overholt yells back, I got him, you guys finish the others off. She is missed by Flax, but he bumps her enough to set her off course, she aims her gun and gets off a wild shot at Johnny before she plows to the floor of the cargo bay and turns to fire at Flax, hoping to get him while he is down.

Billie gets behind some over and takes aim from above and to the side of the melee, she fires at Lexi with both barrels

Xiao Li hears noises...okay, those are definitely coming from OUR cargo bay.

Sabrina McGee hears the Doc down in the cargo bay, grabs the spare pistol and heads downstairs where she sees an intruder with the Doc..

Once ben gives his last phlegmy, bloody gasp, Lex groans and rolls onto his side, grasping the rifle that was knocked out of his hands when Zero's shot spun him off his feet. Staying low for the moment he scans the area to see who's still in the fight.

Sabrina McGee: "Get OFF MY SHIP."

Montanio Andalso lines up a few other hard canned goods, nervously pondering how to make his stand. He runs his fingers through his hair, no sense looking bad, even in a fight. He cocks his head, hearing less and less fighting taking place, but that's because...more and more people are dead.

Shen Jiutai comes behind Johnny and says" welcome Aboard"

Rio Starr tries to duck down by the mule, finally getting a good urge for self-preservation. "Xiao Li! We're invaded!"

Sabrina McGee slaps the com by the door.. "Xiao Li, we've got company down in the cargo bay.. fire up the engines."

Xiao Li freezes. Oh, *shit.*

Petey the parrot keeps up his stream of horrific verse, to those who can hear him, it’s like a pain unlike any other

Johnny Blaze: *Bang! Rrrrip.* "My -coat-! Gorramit!" *Bang! Splurt.* So much for Flax. What's there to do but- Dive for the guy without a gun! "Nobody move!" Yes, he's trying for a hostage.

Sabrina McGee continues to train her gun on the intruder..

Shen Jiutai takes careful aim and says" Rio, hold very still"

Rae Overholt blinks away stars and tries to wipe the blood from her eyes before she realizes that Sabrina is yelling, "Watch OUT Sabrina, I don’t know how many more there are!" She looks to Shen and realizes that Lexi has been left alone and fears the worst. "Shen, Lexi??"

Xiao Li gets control of herself and starts firing up the engines....

Rio Starr tries to scramble away from the pirate heading for him, dropping his bandages and immediately wielding a nice lovely knife.

Billie takes careful aim, and fires both barrels at Lexi again

Sabrina McGee: Let me make this perfectly clear.. You do NOT want to be on this ship with that hatch open if I tell the pilot to break atmo.

Lexi Vargas: Two shots come blasting his way from an unseen source. One buries into the body at his side and other hits him. With a look of surprise the already down red head drops down and rolls behind a box.

Xiao Li is absolutely still, both hands gripping the yoke tightly; fighting to keep her breathing even.

Zerocool Fell feels a thousand miles away from the fight now. She can't hear anything except the whoosh-whoosh of her own pulse in her ears as her head continues to throb, but even that is getting quieter with each passing second. Her field of vision has narrowed down to a single point of light on the ceiling, and she suddenly wishes she had a blanket, which strikes her as hilarious in the middle of a firefight. Her laughter comes out as choked sobs. Some part of her knows that she's dying... or maybe dead already... but she can't make herself care. It's not scary like it's supposed to be. Truth be told, it's the most peace she's felt in years. Her last breath comes out as a soft sigh, and she closes her eyes with a small smile on her face.

Shen Jiutai takes advantage of Rio creating distance to fire at Johnny, aiming for his gun arm

Petey the parrot recites another verse of doom "thou art mine, my love, as thee can see thou dost mean alot to me"

Rae Overholt grins happily at Sabrina's tactics, thinking, smart girl. She stands up shakily, mustering bravado. "You ladies got this? I'm going for Lexi.”

Johnny blaze: "Gorramit, I -said- -" The pirate goes to reverse the rifle for a butt-smack to the Good Doctor- *Bang!* "Argh! Ya lil'-" A graze, but it's enough to make the swing wide. Over at the mechanic- "Ya do that, we -all- go for a walk!"

Lexi Vargas: is behind a box, wounded and having a bad, bad day.

Shen Jiutai stops messing around and fires a long auto burst at Johnny

Sabrina McGee: Yes, but I don't rightly care at this point..

Rae Overholt looks hopefully at Sabrina, really worrying about lexi alone with so many who might be left there, she turns and heads back to the pirate ship. Stopping in the hatch to note who might be alive and where they are. Spotting the pirate on the catwalk she takes aim to hopefully distract if nothing else. "LEXI YOU ALIVE?"

Rio Starr scurries away from Johnny and immediately drops down to the floor, arms covering his head as Shen takes care of the matter with her usual aplomb. Damn. The women on this ship...

Billie sees movement from the outer hatch and lets loose a cloud of hot lead

Lexi Vargas: calls back in an annoyed tone. "Hell yes I am alive. "

The bullets stitch out towards Johnny, who tries diving for annoyingly mobile cover in the form of Rio- The coat gets a few more holes in it, and the Captain gets a few more in his side, the rifle clattering to the floor. "Feng... le... jiang-" *Cough cough* -

Lexi Vargas: lifts his head up over the box to see just where the other people are

Montanio Andalso is not in sight.

Zerocool Fell lays very still, because she is dead.

Rae Overholt ducks from the gunfire. "Can you get the one on the catwalk?" She takes a moment to charge back out into the bay, searching for appropriate cover so she can aim for the shooting pirate.

Shen Jiutai collapses to the floor of the Raven's cargo bay, knowing, at least, that her home is safe

Zerocool Fell is beginning to go stiff from rigor mortis. Now's the time to put her in a comical pose before it's too late!

Shay Jiutai: uh, doc... could you look at my shoulder?

Billie scoots back towards more cover while firing a round of shot too keep everyone’s head down.

Sabrina McGee watches as the intruder collapses.. "Doc, get him doped up and stabilized.. then see to Shen and the rest!"

Lexi Vargas rolls onto his hip and looks for the shooter on the catwalk. "I can sure try." He sees if he can line up a ride shot from his low ground angle.

Rio Starr drops his arms down, glancing over at Sabrina, then at Shen. "You bleeding bad, Shen?"

Sabrina McGee: Doc, you in shock?!

petey the parrot starts to recite quotes from monty python

Rae Overholt yells out to Billie, "It's only you left, give up while you still can. We'll let you and the parrot live. Decide to fight us, and the parrot dies."

Sabrina McGee: C'mon!! We got people to get to!

Rio Starr dives for his bag and pulls out a hypo and vial. He's not exactly nice about jabbing the needle into Johnny's arm and pumping him up with dope.

Johnny slips the rest of the way into unconsciousness. Woe!

Sabrina McGee: I'll help Shen to the Infirmary..

Billie sees which way the wind is blowing and shouts out "Alright! I give"

Rae Overholt: Throw down your weapons and come out with your hands up, no tricks!!

Sabrina McGee: Grab hold, Shen..

Shen Jiutai gazes fondly at Sabrina as she allows herself to be picked up

Rae Overholt was really hoping to shoot that parrot.

Zerocool Fell continues to lie there like a piece of fleshy furniture. At least she's not leaking too much blood all over the cargo bay floor. It's coagulating nicely.

Sabrina McGee: C'mon, let's get you to the infirmary..

Xiao Li , although she isn't there, also wishes Rae had shot the parrot. That's good eatin'.

Shen Jiutai: we goin' on a date?

Billie slides her boys down the catwalk and stands with her hands in the air

Sabrina McGee: Sure.. :)

Sabrina McGee carries Shen to the infirmary and lays her on a table..

Lexi Vargas comes up from behind his box stiffly, blood covering him from the chest down. He clicks a new round into the rifle and moves towards Rae, look damn ready to shoot anything that things about twitching.

Rio Starr mutters and checks the fallen pirate captain for any injuries that might make him bleed out, slapping a bandage on the worst then grabbing him under his arms to drag him towards the med bay.

Rae Overholt: Lexi, can you walk? You gonna live pretty boy?

Xiao Li pulls the com down. "How are we doing? Need a quick exit?"

Johnny, unfortunately for him, looks like he'll live. For now. Surely he's being heavy just to be annoying.

Sabrina McGee slaps the comm.. "Hang tight, Xiao Li. everything's in control so far.. we got injured.. keep the engines warm, though.. once everyone's on board, I want a speedy exit.

Billie shifts nervously and waits for instructions

Lexi Vargas: makes it to Rae's side., Look worse for the wear. "I'll live. Takes more then losing a little blood to off me."

Rae Overholt nods at Lexi and then goes tense again when she hears Montanio call out, "Come on down Billie, and tell us whom that is yelling."

Sabrina McGee: Doc, I'm gonna go take a look real quick and see if anyone else needs a hand on board..

Billie cautiously makes her way down to the cargo bay floor

Rio Starr: "Good! let me know how many need urgent care." He stretches the pirate captain on the floor, then looks to Shen's injury.

Zerocool Fell is still dead, which is fortunate, because she'd be wringing a parrot's neck if she were alive.

Sabrina McGee yells out the cargo doors.. "Cap'n?!? Lexi? You out there? Status?"

Billie lookls around at her fallen comrades, and counts the bodies

Rae Overholt motions to Billie, "Grab the bird and give Lexi a hand or I shoot you and the parrot dead. I'm going to look for others here" She waits, leaning unsteadily against the wall. Starting when Sabrina shows. "Here Sabrina, help lexi, cover Billie."

Sabrina McGee: You two okay? I got Doc warming up the infirmary..

Montanio Andalso comes out of the galley, creeping around the corner with his weapon in hand.

Billie calls to her parrot soothingly, as petey makes his way to her shoulders , she notices that Montaino is nowhere to be seen, and begins to curse him under her breath

Shen Jiutai: better look at me quick doc, there's more a commin'

Billie calls out in the direction of the Galley “Mont! its over.”

Sabrina McGee: Your captain is gone. You're outnumbered. Stand Down.

Rae Overholt turns her head to Mont and notices his weapon, she raises her own and aims it at him. "drop it" she says in a slurred voice.

Lexi Vargas gruffs "I'm fine enough." He trains the rifle on Billie. "To the other ship now. March. I'm jumpy too so don't trip."

Rio Starr nods to Shen, and wraps a pressure bandage over her arm and shoulder. "Don't move much. You're still bleeding, but that's a good thing--not too bad. It'll help clean it out.""

Montanio Andalso feels better about hearing that familiar voice calling that its over so he walks rather confidently into view on the catwalk, saying, while he tosses his can of corn in the air a few times, in a purr, "For fuck's sake, that took long enough you idio....er..." He blinks a few times.

Billie takes a longing look at her boys sitting on the catwalk, and says in a small voice, will ya get my guns? They are too good to be scuttled.

Rio Starr is a lot nicer to Shen than he was to Johnny in giving her a shot of antibiotic.

Shen Jiutai: thanks Doc, can ya see the bullet?

Rae Overholt gives Billie a look, "if I get them I keep them." still in a slurred voice, as she watches Mont on the catwalk, her gun quivering slightly as it aims at him.

Sabrina McGee: Okay.. Cap'n, which one shot Shen? ::pissed::

Billie gives Mont the eye as she moves in to the other ship

Lexi Vargas: can understand a love for guns...and he sympathizes but not enough to detour to get them. "I think you will have to replace them some time later. You have bigger troubles just now."

Rae Overholt looks at Sabrina, "I dunnnoo..so many of 'm..still one up there." her eyes blink several times.

Montanio Andalso holds up one hand and then sets the corn down. "Ahhh...riiight. I'm just a passenger." He tries to grin innocently. "That will teach me to take rides from the dregs of society, hmmm?"

Sabrina McGee: Lexi? Cap'n? Think you can make it back to the ship okay?

Rae Overholt scoffs at him, still wondering what one as pretty as him is doing here. "shap..g..down..'ere"

Rio Starr nods. "It missed bone and major blood vessels. I think you'll live, as long as you don't overdo the celebrating." He preps Shen quickly for surgery, letting the dope have a bit of time to work on her as well. He calls out to the comm. "How is everyone? Need immediate care?"

Xiao Li 's foot taps a staccato rhythm on the floor of the bridge. Violence she can deal with, but all this *waiting* gets her really nervous.

Lexi Vargas: Is already on his way back. He is dragging a bit, but he has Billie to keep an eye on.

Rae Overholt looks at sabrina and says, "Kevin..check.."

Zerocool Fell wasn't a very good pirate, really. She was being a VERY good dead person, though. Nobody had ever stood still and bled with quite so much... lifelessness. In a few hours, she's sure she'll start to stink up the cargo bay as her gray body begins to bloat. Yes. She is very good at being dead indeed.

[20:55] Shen Jiutai: Can't let Johnny Jerko Diiiieeeeeee *Shen fades*

Sabrina McGee yells back to the Doc.. "Looks like Rae's gonna need you next, Doc!" Rae, where's Kevin?

Rae Overholt blinks..still trying to focus on the catwalk. "hope."

Montanio Andalso makes a slow procession down to the cargo bay and Rae, watching always her gun as it is pointed at him. He lifts his hands. "You wouldn't shoot an unarmed man would you?"

Rae Overholt smirks, "mmm.. hurry up.." squeezes the trigger to fire one round to show her seriousness, not feeling like bleeding to death waiting on a pretty boy pirate.

Montanio Andalso hurries it up, glad he doesn't have to stay with the dead rotting corpses!

Sabrina McGee: All right. Cap'n, if you can manage back to the ship, I can get Kevin..

Rae Overholt nods and follows stumbling slightly behind Mont as they make their way to the Raven.

Zerocool Fell rots as hard as she's ever rotted before. She rots like her life... er... death depends on it... as Mont hurries past.

Lexi Vargas: takes Billie up to the Galley and stands guard with her till further orders come in. Leaning against the wall he keeps the gun trained on her and idly bleeds.

Montanio Andalso feels...the emotion coming from the dead body of Zero and says a little inner prayer for her soul!

Billie not wounded in the fray leans back and relaxes in galley

Rae Overholt goes over to a crate in the cargo hold and shoots a hole in it..she then looks at Mont and says "innn.."

Sabrina McGee picks up Kevin and heads back to the ship..

Shen Jiutai senses someone in her galley and murmmers " she'd better clean up her mess!"

Johnny lies there doped out and shot up in the Raven's medical bay. With his face mashed up against a cold metal cabinet.

Shen Jiutai: Doc?

Petey the parot is uncharacteristically quiet

Rio Starr is in the med bay, operating like..well, not quite a fiend... He's got Shay's souvenir out of her body and into a pan where it really belongs. "Hm?" he replies as he bandages her up completely.

Shen Jiutai: I good here?

Sabrina McGee hits the comm: "Xiao Li, looks like we're all on.."

Montanio Andalso follows the direction of the gun more than the direction of Rae's words. He can tell she looks hurt so he keeps up his pace decently. "I'll behave if you need to go get looked at."

Rae Overholt hits the com still in a slurred voice. "Lexi...crrate him.." she then slumps to the floor breathing a sigh of relief.

Sabrina McGee: Captain, everything good to close up and take off?

Rae Overholt nods at Sabrina and motions towards Monti and the crate before closing her eyes.

Xiao Li: Just tell me when to fire 'er up.

Rio Starr: "You're good, Shen." He looks up. "Who else? Who all was shot?"

Sabrina McGee hits the controls to shut the cargo bay doors..

Sabrina McGee: Doc, can you come help get Rae?

Shen Jiutai: Thanks Doc...

Billie calls out and says We still got some cargo on the ship, you aint just gonna leave are ya?

Sabrina McGee: That's what the Cap'n said.. No offense to you.. but if you'd be so kind..

Sabrina McGee motions towards an open crate

Xiao Li grimaces at the dead pirate on the windshield.

Rae Overholt opens an eye and motions with her gun, 'xi..frs..'

Billie looks angry and says well what about salvage then?

Lexi Vargas considers the interesting dark look to the blood that stains his side...then nods at the com a moment before getting the idea speaking to it is a better Idea. "I have a prisoner and a parrot up in the Gally. What should I do with her?"

Rio Starr rushes out to the cargo bay...really...though lag's got him trapped in the medbay

Lexi Vargas: nods at Billie to. "Salvage is a very good idea."

Sabrina McGee helps the Doc get Rae back to the infirmary..

Sabrina McGee: "C'mon, Captain.. let's get you looked at.."

Rae Overholt opens her eyes again and shakes her head, "lx.frs.."

Gabriel Keats rushes down “ Rae!”

Montanio Andalso wanders over to a crate and steps into it, casting Rae a rather pitiful look. "Well...just for you, lady."

Rio Starr helps Rae towards the infirmary. "Sabrina...can you check the others? See if anyone else was hurt?"

Billie looks at Lexi and says “It’s not as if we were the murder'n type. We jest scarred 'em a bit.”

Gabriel Keats follows Rae and the doctor to the infirmary

Sabrina McGee: Gabe, you got any wounds?

Rae Overholt tries hard to keep moving and her eyes open, and struggles to say in a clear voice, "lex, first."

Lexi Vargas: Yeah. Well at least you are getting to live to tell about it. Was anyone there important to ya?

Shen Jiutai: Dco, ya better' lookit that Johnny guy...

Billie, looks around and says uh, you should get that patched up

Sabrina McGee: Lexi, I got it now.. go have Doc patch you up

Sabrina McGee: Cap's orders.

Sabrina McGee: Well, if I have any say in the matter.. specially for any decent parts..

Rio Starr gets Rae onto the table and cleans her wounds, then dopes her for surgery. So he's a pusher...he's got some good drugs!

Rio Starr: "Cap'n...you just shush...relax."

Shen Jiutai stumbles in a haze to her galley...

Montanio Andalso sits in a red crate, peering out. Once the cargo bay clears out, he rocks back and forth and it sort of thunks around a bit.

Billie looks grumpy and says well ya fried most of our systems.

Rae Overholt shakes her head as she goes under.

Lexi Vargas: Is leaning on the wall looking a bit white has he guards Billie. He nods at Sabrina woozily. "We going to salvage that rig?" He grins at the answer then pushes off the wall to wander down to the medbay.

Rio Starr grumbles into the comm. "Lexi! Get your butt down here..."

Sabrina McGee: You heard the man..

Sabrina McGee watches Lexi head out..

Rio Starr: "Gabriel...you know anything about first aid?"

Gabriel Keats: A bit. Tell me what to do.

Gabriel Keats’s face is pale. He looks at Rae with a stricken expression::

Sabrina McGee: You okay, Shen?

Lexi Vargas: wanders into the med bat grinning and looking very pleased. He must be sick.

Xiao Li hollers into the comm, "Are we leavin' or not?!"

Johnny, drugged and blood-lossy, mumbles something about angels.

Shen Jiutai: I'll be fine... just gonna sit a spell...

Sabrina McGee: comm: Sorry, Xiao Li.. Cap'ns out of it.. We're closed tight! Get us out of here!

Lexi Vargas: "I really need about a yard of gauze and a shower"
